If you want to follow the money here is a great link to do just that. http://www.opensecrets.org/index.php I use to watch Dobbs, but at some point he seemed to have fallen into the same style of BS as Beck. There was no other solution but his. I remember when (and this is on illegals) he used to say the major problem was illegal employers which I still believe is the problem, but then he changed it to the people coming over the border instead of the employers taking advantage of them. If there are no jobs, then they will stop crossing

And my father's grandmother was a little old black lady......his mother was half jewish......my old man was the biggest bigot I ever met.Of course he was also an asshole,but thats another story. Popeye whether or not Dobbs is prejudiced is besides the point......he had his issue and he rode it.He admired Seriff Joe and rode him like a jockey at Churchill Downs. Bigot...prejudiced ....xenophobic...who knows...all I'm saying is it was lousy fucking television and certainly not worthy of Newscasting in the traditions of Conkrite and Morrow.

Some are fond of saying that we're a country of laws but only when it suits them I guess. I think the point is that the people in our govt. have been derelict in their duties in this area probably because of big business wanting cheap labor to undercut the working man in this country. The fact that we have an estimated 20 million people in this country who don't belong here is a testiment to that failure and it's also very dangerous in this day and age. Again, I'm giving President Obama a chance but he needs to start "Changing" things in this area soon! And he won't be changing anything with only 4,000 ICE Agents for the whole country. That can be changed in about a week. Hell, he bailed out banks, brokerage houses and insurance cos not to mention G.M. in about a month! I watched Lou Dobbs quite a bit and his main theme was that our government "wasn't working like it should." Having so many illegal aliens in the country right out in the open is just a glaring example of that dysfunction. And I don't believe most Americans "hate" illegal aliens, we just don't want them in our country. Hell, I "hate" the govt. and big corporations for letting this happen not people who I don't even know! How can you "hate" someone you don't even know? People who call other people "bigotts" or "predjudiced" for being against illegal aliens and the govt and big corporations sound like anarchists to me. What is their motivation for doing so? Are they also "for" rape, murder, grand theft etc? Those are the same people who say "we are a nation of laws" when it suits them! lol! Mike, it's funny really, those people are being hoodwinked into supporting the position of big business!

Popeye illegal immigration is a huge problem...but it is also a multifaceted situation.Niether Sheriff Joe nor Dobbs trumpeting of the asshole put a dent in it nor gave a shit about the harm done to families rent apart when father was caught in one of the Sheriffs raids. Not to mention the downright harrasment of American citizens of hispanic descent who were caught up in his highly publicised(Thanks again Mr.Dobbs and others) sweeps

And who cares about families rent apart anyway? If you were to rob a bank and got caught you'd be seperated from your family right? If they wearn't engaged in illegal activities in the first place they wouldn't be "seperated" from their families would they? That border should have been completely closed years ago, another oversight by our govt. What do people in govt. have to do before they get fired anyway? I hope President Obama is aware that the American People are awaiting all the "Change" he promised us or 2012 and 2012 are going to be tough years. Like I said I and I'm sure most Americans are certainly willing to give him a chance but he needs to start getting to work! One of our most precious freedoms is, "Freedom of the Press!"

I think it was Ed Deline who came out in favor of allowing gay marriage because he felt that gays had the right to be just as unhappy as the rest of us. Never can tell the underlying reason for an opinion.
