i've always preferred Dommes that were my age, 34, or older. i have seldom...if any...thinking... in which i have been drawn to a Domme that was younger than me. in fact, in regular dating situations i have preferred it the same way with the youngest woman i've dated being only 5 years younger than me.
i have a very good friend that i adored... a natural Domme in Her own rite... she was 63 when she passed away... and i would've gladly submitted to Her.

I am 42 and my little one is 28, the age was never an issue or thought for us, but then again she likes older men. On line I think pewople need a starting point and a common one they use is age. I can understand why you would be confused that people your own age or older would say your too old.

I think age becomes less of an issue when you are talkiong to people in person at which point it becomes more of the vitality than simply age.

good luck

K

Actually I take the opposite stance. In real life offline, ones age is more apparent, disparity in age more apparent. In offline stuff, you have to deal with family and friends actually questioning you, your choices. You actually have to deal with differences in health care and life choices.

Age DOES matter. WHether it means you will or won't be together is a personal preference, but the fact that we DO age in a particular culture, we face different issues depending on our generation, different music, politics, and more. Younger people face FAR different choices and stages than a person who is much older. As an older partner, one must have more patience and ok to watch and step with someone going through issues they likely dealt with years ago.

My two older partners are 42 and my boyfriend is 22. I am 26. We have wonderful lives together. Yet our ages ARE part of who we are and how we interact. This isn't a bad thing, any more than our religious background, educational background or family structure.

BUt age does matter and it does need to be considered.

LA,

I don't find one moment of any day where our ages play into anything. You at times try to hard to analyse things into little boxes. Typicslly many of the things you listed our issues of you want them to be. Family and friends will question many of the choixed you make, so in the end that is simply nothing more than a cop out. Issues never truly change, only the wrappers, remember the old quote, "There is nothing new under the sun". things such as polotics, music, etc.. or only issues when the older person is stuck in the thoughts of their youth.

Then again when you over dissect everything to the point of lunacy, you can always find issues.

My Master is 16 yrs older than me. IMO what is important to me is how i feel with the person. With Him i feel wonderful, special and all, so why would His age bother me? I love it that He is an experience man, mentor and wonderful man to be around, also that He helps me grow.

If I see a profile with a specific age range desired for a Dom, and I don't fit, I generally don't contact her. I also tend to search for submissive women over the age of 40, which admittedly narrows the field. However, I am getting more and more responses from subs from age 45 to 60 that, at age 54, I am "too old" for them.

Well, if you think about it, everyone is entitled to want what they want, and to be attracted to whatever it is about a person that attracts them. It's not a deliberate blow to your ego, because for the most part, it's probably not personal.

For myself, I prefer younger men, and Master is 37 to my 46 (soon to be 47). He was actually a little younger than what I was looking for, but hey... it works for us. However, I know other couples were the female slave is younger than Master, and the male Dominant is over 60. Whatever works, yanno?

It just depends on one's specific situation...an independant woman in her 30's may feel much differently about an older man than I would, for the reason that I am 23yrs old, only recently moved out of my parent's house, and still rely on them financially to a certain degree. Because of those circumstances, I do not date anyone my parents would not approve of. They don't mind me dating men *somewhat* older but certainly not older than they are. (Stepdad is 37, mom is 42.)

Another issue for me is that I don't want to date someone who will likely die before me and leave me all alone.

A third issue is that there really can be issues with generation gaps. My last dom was 35....and he just seemed incredibly OLD. Not physically, but rather in his thinking and his tastes. Sometimes I'd just role my eyes and think, "God, he sounds like my FATHER!" That definately affected my sexual attraction to him. It's a little thing, but little things add up after a while. Like him and my dad would be talking and discussing movies/music/politics from the 80's and it was such a turn off to realize that he had way more in common with my dad than he did with me.

Hrm. From the way everyone is talking (in most cases) age is not a factor in how they think about prospective partners.

I got into this lifestyle at 18. Then, I was not interested in someone over 35.
My first real D/s realtionship wasn't until I was 22. He was 33.
And I realized something from that. Age doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot if the two of you don't have things in common.
Now, I'm 26, and my Dominant is 46.
I still don't think I want someone more than twice my age, because like others, I want a life with my Dominant.

My Dom is over 50 and just before meeting him, I was emailed by a Master that was 66 whom I was talking to. I prefer someone with experience hence I would not factor out someone that is mature. As long as they are healthy and mobile enough to swing a paddle and able to give me instructions on how to please them, it doesnt matter what age they are.

Becuase my mother is paying for my education, car and cell phone, i am looking for nomore then about 35ish. That to also stands becuase i would like a life long parnter, maybe a family one day. I don't know my future but ya can't do much besides take it one day at time. Though i do look to the older generation for information, adn knowledge that way i can learn what they have to teach.

I prefer men to be older than me ...I have scened with a person who was almost 50 year older than me but as a LTR I would think no more than 15-20 years older than me ....in saying this however age matters for nothing if true love and spankings hit :P
My Beloved is in fact younger than me ...something that still icks me out

You and Lady Neets are the only two people who'd ever make me consider poly. You're not scarey at all; You're a lovely Man. i don't give a shit about Your disabilities -- i cannot remain on my knees very long anymore either. i also don't care much one way or the other about Gor where You are concerned, though i've turned Men down for this many times. There's something exraordinary about You, and i'm smart enough to know it.

I'm 20 years old.. and I've had partners from a year younger than me, to 40 years my senior..
[sighs] It does make a difference. Not because older guys are .. old, or anything. But because when you're 18, and you're just starting out at life, you want someone to share it with you, who's going to be around 20 years later to say, Wow, look at all we've done! And because I believe that a sub should be independent before she goes to live off of an Owner. I mean, you get out of school at 18, you move in with your 50 year old Master, then what? You have no idea about the struggles of life, the struggle of being your own person.

And before people start with the "oh, but I've had a really bad life so I do know what it's like even though I've lived out of my Master's pockets since leaving school" arguement, well, so have a lot of people. And it makes them totally unprepared for what REAL life is. I think living alone, living independently is something every woman should go through. And I should think that there is somewhat more satisfaction in being able to Master a woman you know COULD be independent if she wanted to be, as opposed to a woman who really would have no idea what to do if you told her to leave tomorrow.

I know I'm generalising.. some people, I'm sure are fine with knowing they're going to live twice, maybe three times as long as their "life partner". That's really not for me though. So these days, I keep the numbers down...

i am a 55 year old sub/slave and there is no upper limit to the age of a Mistress for me. i may well be transferred or sold on to another  Mistress so i would have no say.  In any event i have no upper limit.  iam more likely to have a lower limit!!!!

I was 45 when i was swept off my feet at a munch by my former Master, and we were together for almost 5 years.  He was 69 when we met.  You might do better in person, where someone isn't just looking at a number and imagining their grandpa or dad.  How you present yourself in person is more a reflection of how old you are than the number of years you have lived.  Is there a way to bypass the age field?

Don't give up, we ain't dead yet!
