went to my first yoga saturday.....it was a level 2

teacher was ok to let me participate as i could and observe where i couldnt.

so i jumped on in and she called me a natural.....and even said 'youre already a yogi'

i was so proud....so was Master.

i had to show him my new moves saturday....its all so foreign to me.
my abs hurt like heeeyell today tho!!!!!

Master is on the not talking to me again thing for me being fritzy first thing yesterday...too bad because id do naughty things for a massage:) lol

Congratulations on the workout, BHY!
Congrats on getting the silent treatment too. I'm sure you could use the rest!

I'm starting back up at the gym today for strength training & some treadmill work.
Dammit to hell, I forgot my iPod so I'm-a gonna have to listen to the piped in crap they play!

I couldn't bring myself to run on the treadmill yesterday but I did do my strength training & boy are my arms/shoulders killing me today! I added extra weights on the machines & I'm definitely feeling the results!

I did 30 minutes on the recumbent bike going up/down random hills instead of treadmill work plus I power walked for 2-3 miles last night. Unfortunately I ate when I got home after the gym & before the walk so my stomach wasn't up to jogging
Tonight I'll be jogging 5 miles then tomrrow back to the gym after work.
Friday I'm off work so I'll be doing my 14 miles on Friday, Sunday & Monday.
Can anyone say blisters??

Starting next weekend (July 11) I'll attempt the 20-mile loop then the following Sat. is an 8k race I entered (5.2 miles) starting at 8:45pm.  The following Sun (July 25th) I'm entering a 13 mile run (1/2 marathon).

Damn, I can't believe how quickly the time is going. Just 4 more months until the MC Marathon.

Thanks LundFamily. Today I did 14 miles & i did not do well.
I didn't realize it was so hot out & wore more than I should have.
I drank all my water long before I was 1/2 way done. I had a bottle of Propel water
that got hotter w/each passing minute.
The last 3-4 miles I bought a gallon of water & now my shoulders & back
hurt from carrying it.
I now have a big blister on one toe & a full nail coming off another one.
Bad day..... but can't stop until Nov. 1 (day after race).

I am doing nothing more strenuos than walking. But I am walking 2 miles or more at a time. My pilot jump started my routine with a variety of exercise( walking and other fun stuff) plus cooking in and healthy eating. I have lost 14 pounds and some of my clothes are starting to fit again though fitting in those size 8's will take some time. I have lost while quiting smoking. It can be done.

My overweight 11 year old who has aspergers and very little awareness about food when he is eating it or a care about what he looks like. Well I have him writing down his calories and have him on a caloric limit thats not too low. He is getting into it and likes the challenge and motivation. Plus its a way to make him more aware of what he is eating and if it is healthy and feeding him right.  He has lost 3 pounds so far.

Congratulations Lushy to you & your son!
I didn't do any roadwork yesterday. I worked on my abs & upper body.
Everytime I coughed today I had to hold my stomach because it hurts so much from the workout!
Today I'll be in the gym doing strength training & some treadmill work.

WTG Sophie.

I am trying to tackle the weight by dieting.  More fruits, more vegetables, I get 2 or more cereals a week (whole grain, nothing sugary)

I am at last check 312 clothed.  The doctor recommends walking but my right hip starts hurting after 5 minutes walking or standing.

I have lost enough that I am no longer in the obese category and getting further down in the overweight section! My doctor is no longer concerned about my weight, but does want more exercise. Why is it easier to watch what I eat than to force myself up and onto my feet? I am currently just doing aerobic stuff that I can do with no shoes as I stubbed my toe (when exercising) and split my big toenail, so no closed toe shoes for now.
