Looking through this site I do recognize that there are proper ways to search for a companion referred to as ‘slave’ of which I am currently engaged in.  I am writing this post publically because I feel this may not be the best place to find what it is I am looking for.  While there are many things I would like to find in the one who serves me it is less about the details and more about a shared concept of ideals in how we view our roles as master and slave.  To which I have taken the liberty of writing down these concepts as best I can that I may hopefully be led to a site that is more suited to me.

I want depth of emotions to take precedence over intensity of emotion.

While indulgences are a fun distraction, it is not what establishes a healthy and stable relationship.  Every relationship must carry with it promises and obligations from both sides that can never be compromised without doing harm to what has been so hard fought to build.  Not understanding this fundamental basic will leave one or both sides unaware that they are betraying the trust of the other and suddenly find that everything is lost without a clue or a hint as to why.

I want my servant to be by my side forever, loyal and devoted.

The choice to server someone should not be for titles or obligations, but out of respect and loyalty.  While forcing respect and loyalty through fear, intimidation and conditioning may work in the short term, it will also diminish the self image of that person creating little more than a marionette who can follow instructions, a fun toy that that quickly gets boring and ends up being thrown to the side.  If the respect is earned, and the loyalty is born from trust then while it is a far more difficult and challenging path, it puts the decision in the hands of the servant to choose to be by his side and that is where she belongs.  Doing this, she will strive to prove herself to the one she choose and who accepted her and thus builds her self image becoming even stronger and more capable.  When a person chooses loyalty and devotion on their own volition, this is a bond that can only be broken by the person who earned it and as long as this trust is never betrayed, it will endure forever.

I want the collar to represent the bond we share.

If you look around, you will see little trinkets here and there that serve as little time capsules, and bound within each one are memories and the emotions of a time we cherish.  The collar a slave wears is no different.  To say that it binds a slave to a master is very true, however what memories and emotions will it convey?  Think of the collar as a world shared by two souls and consider what should and should not belong within this world.  Will you find the strength to persevere and endure, compassion to tend to a wounded heart, encouragement to do your best, patience to keep trying, insight to understand your feelings?  Will you feel the warmth of someone who loves you?  All of the pain and sorrow, joy and love, the emotions that bind you two as one are imbued in that one ornament worn around the neck and as long as it is with you then you are never alone.

I will take responsibility in earnest for the life; mind, body, and soul, which has been left in my stead.

While far from being a new born child, should a life given to the care of another be any different?  The happiness and well being of someone is depending on your sound decisions and reasoning to do what is in her best interest.  This is the promise of the caretaker, guardian, mentor and trainer known as Master.  It is his convictions in this promise that will strengthen the bonds they share and establish stability in the relationship.  To serve this role I have gathered the sum of 30+ books and audio cd’s of all assortments, many of which are experts in their specific field with many years of practical experience.  As of the writing of this post I have read five books and listened to three audio tapes accounting various aspects of the science of the mind, how memory works and the devices and methods to the process of learning.  With so much material to go through it only made sense to first and foremost take every advantage possible to gaining the most out of what I am reading.  From here I intend to focus on the body learning all I can about nutrition, the bodies anatomy, physical fitness, herbal remedies and emergency treatment.  Then on to the soul learning what I can about philosophy, psychology, personality styles, exploring ethics and morality, work on ways to build character and resolve, finding insight into emotions that drive us to act and react, and develop an understanding of different life patters that mold us into the people we are today.

I value quality of life above all else.

Exactly how does one find quality in life?  Is it simply the pursuit of happiness or is there more to it?  If all you sought was to indulge yourself every day, each day blending into the next becoming weeks then months and even years then what would be the difference between being alive for a week or living for a billion years.  If all you do is merely exist from day to day biding time until you pass on how does that relate to quality of life?  We have one and only one chance to get the most out of life that we can, once time passes by whatever opportunities we had to enjoy them to the fullest are gone forever and we only have from that moment forward.  To my regret I have spent a great deal of my life looking for an easy and quick path to a happy life of ease and it is only recently I have come to understand a very simple truth.  Just as the body must endure to become strong, vital, and healthy so must the mind and soul.  Think back to the time when you where young and still growing.  At the age of twelve you no longer saw things as you did when you where a child.  When you where a teenager you no longer saw things as you did when you where twelve.  When you where an adult you no longer saw things as you did when you where a teenager.  Does being an adult mean that we have reached our limit and the time for growing and maturing have come to an end?  If we look around us we see ourselves surrounded by people that have somehow progressed much farther than we have, are we to believe that somehow they are different or special?  I believe that the potential to become far more than whom we now are lies in each of us, and as we look at others with the good fortune of having the strength to find their measure of happiness, we also discover that they share that same strength to help those around them find their own.  It is within this strength that I believe a true measure of quality in our lives can be found.

While the concept of a kind gentleman, master of the estate, acting as guardian, mentor, and tutor in trade of companionship is an aged old concept, it has since evolved in many different directions each devoutly stating that they are true to their name.  While diversity makes it impossible to make any such claim, what I have described here is my own vision that I shall remain true to.  I know somewhere out there is my treasure searching for just such a person to declare her loyalty and devotion to and it is only a matter of time before we find each other and I hold her in my arms.  I would be grateful for assistance that anyone can provide that will aid me in my search.

This is better served in your profile or journal. It won't do you much good here.

Could you sum it up in just a few sentences?  I gave up early.

This would make a fine journal entry.   As it is, it seems like self promotion here.

Ouch, my head hurts.  I think my attention deficit kicked in.  Could you please sum it up as the sexy DS asked?  The post is nicely formatted though.

I think Fabio has retired from being the cover boy of romance novels. The OP could take his place, just grow your hair and drop the glasses...they might fall into the heaving bosoms of the slavegirl by your side.

More than I did. I gave up even skimming half way down. Sorry OP but it's just too long. A summary would be nice. What I did read didn't sound all that different than all the posts here of that type.

Hey Sexyred, is it just me, or was Fabio kinda creepy??  Especially when he opened his mouth and talked.

The OP isn't bad looking, but most submissives I know like their dominants wicked....An angelic dominant?  Isn't that kinda an oxymoron?

Oh yes, Fabio was creepy and spoke worse than Arnold. And I agree, angelic dominant is not that great a screenname, but it does speak to the gallant nature of the OP.

And nothing suggested that you might first find the person before establishing how the relationship is going to look?

Some relationships aren't really relationships but merely someone required to fulfill a role in someone else's life for their happiness, amusement, gratification. A bit like some people thinking that delivering a monologue in front of a witness constitutes a conversation.

Very easy to work out the intricacies of a relationship when you're on your own.

Now try see to do it with another person. I wish you luck.

To sum it up...just read the bold words.

quote:

To which I have taken the liberty of writing down these concepts as best I can that I may hopefully be led to a site that is more suited to me.

The rest you only need to get the general idea of.

Jeffff - No, it's not self promotion, just my own views that I believe in.
Jeffff again - I'm far from perfect, in fact far from average.  I know full well I have a lot to learn.
WinsomeDefiance - I was hoping for something other than formatting to be noticed but I do appreciate the compliment.
domiguy - It's all general stuff I though of at the moment, feel free to use any part if it as long as it is in line with your own views.
heartcream - The part about the collar had to do with how it represents the bond between master/slave and my favorite.
WinsomeDefiance - To be honest, I'm looking more for a 'consensual servant' then a 'consensual slave' and I don't adopt a dominant position as in a strong and demanding hand but a strong and gentle hand.  Submissive/Dominate is different from Master/Slave and does not necessarily have to cross over since it is a matter of personal taste.  This is why this site may not be the place for me to search.
stella41b - Reading books about the mind, body and spirit is more like reading the instructions for a game.  Sure you can play this game of life without any instructions, but it is much more fulfilling if you understand all the rules.  I don't really understand the point you where trying to make in terms of relationships but knowledge applied is often beneficial in all parts of your life.

I apologize for things being unclear.  It was just a simple 'I'm looking for something/here it is' post.

sorry to be another of the picky ones but it is Dominant

Welcome to the forums, I hope you find what you seek though if I may be honest I am one of the people (few?) that read your entire profile and I still have no idea what you are looking for or what you are like.

Way too much fluffy nothingness and whilst being idealistic is wonderful, sometimes it helps to be more concrete in what you are looking for. You want someone loving, loyal, honest and trusting (I think).... you and most others here but what is it about you that will attract them?

Having read the entire piece of prose I am no less clearer about who you are or what you want.  Maybe though this is a good filter for you as possibly only those who respond to you on the other side of CM will have got what you are seeking

If you feel you cannot find what you are seeking here, at CM, why not go to some munches and BDSM events. In person interactions may be more beneficial than internet based interactions.

That is what you were asking, right? The rest of the information seems rather unimportant if all you are looking for is another way to meet someone who is compatible with you. You can also try FetLife.

Ah you see, this is where we differ. Life to me isn't a game, it's the real thing, and the only rules are to keep breathing in and out. The rest of the time I'm making it up as I go along and responding as I see it.

Much of my life is also determined by the people I choose to share my life with and others who come into my life. It's not determined by the books I read or by a set of rules.

quote:

I don't really understand the point you where trying to make in terms of relationships but knowledge applied is often beneficial in all parts of your life.

To be honest if you honestly believe that life is a game with rules which can be learned from books and CDs then I wouldn't expect you to be able to understand the point I was trying to make.

But please also consider that the Taliban see life as dictated by rules which can be learned from books and CDs.

Relationships are just as much about feeling and communication as they are about knowledge.

And if you ever end up in a relationship with someone which is exactly as you envisaged it beforehand, before you even knew or met the person, I'd say that you were either extremely lucky or superhuman.

But none of this says that you're necessarily wrong, nor does it prevent me wishing you such luck. Just something for you to think about.
