Do CM posters regularly undergo training in how to force all issues into false dilemmas?

It just so common to be coincidence.

Maybe some of the conspiracy theorists can sort that out.

Bob, there are many wonderful people here. Open your eyes.

Put down your ego first. It's blinding you.

Op...I have a lot more respect for wannabe bottoms than I do wanna be gods.

I was unaware one had to be a god to choose a loving relationship over cheap thrills.

There are some of us who really don't need love to be in a thriving relationship.

True, some people just seek cheap thrills, and then wonder why so many wannabes write them.

So my relationship is just "cheap thrills" because love isn't a part of our dynamic? Interesting that you ignored my first post here. But then I'm a wannabe by your standards so that's no surprise.

Jeff is right you really are a pompous ass. There is no such thing as "one true way" Different relationships work in different ways, some even work without love.

Put down artists get a really poor return. Can you find your girl way up there on your high horse? Most I know tend to be a bit put off by stubborn arrogance.

MM, what makes you think I can't recognize quality people?

Behaviour has always been a reliable guide. Shall I use the examples from this thread, or "A Legend Returns" to decide who is and who is not "wonderful"?

Cheap thrills and immaturity go hand in hand, I expect nothing better.

That probably explains why so many set as low a standard as possible ... so as not to be confused with "stubborn arrogance".

I've no difficulty with a higher standard. Granted, not everyone is up to such a challenge, but then I don't want everyone ... just one special lady.

Fortunately there are enough men with no standard at all for the rest of you to find your cheap thrills.

As I've already noted in this thread, the reading-comprehension of those with lower standards is not all one could hope for.

Along with low standards and immaturity comes impatience.

Looks around
Notices he is all alone.
Where did everyone go?

Ooooh. Culture shift and I missed it...again.
(Must be cause I'm stuck in the basement washing my Space Ghost jammies-with the footies)

Now, alas, I'm not a wannabe and everyone else is.
It's the new "'in" thing, it's IT, hip, trendy and fab, like 8 track players, Beta and New coke.
And here I am, yet again, whooooosh, just been passed right by.
Sulks

Nobody even told me.
I wannabe a wannabe.

Damn.
It sucks being real.

Tells me who was viewing my profile (not that it mattered if they didn't write), let's me re-check all those profiles where the woman wrote nothing in her profile, reassures me that people are still using this site and reminds me of why I put so many of them in my hidden user file in the first place ...

If you ever see me (Louve00) as someone who looked at your profile, don't for a minute, think I looked thinking perspectively about you for anything....or for anyone...for that matter.

I usually click on a profile if someone says something that makes me repeatedly snicker at something they said on the forums, or if I agree with them, or if I disagree with them, or I find them entertaining (either to the good or the bad), and sometimes, I may even write them a quick hello, just to say...."hey!"

Being this is a forum board, I tend to first think this is a place people post and talk about their thoughts and opinions?  I guess the dating sites aren't popular anymore?  I don't know.  I'm married and probably behind the times.  But I thought match.com and all those were where people who were exclusively looking to meet and date posted their profiles.

I wouldn't dismiss the good old fashioned methods, though. Worked fine for me, and many millions of others

Worked fine for me too, providing I was in or near an urban centre.

Not the same when you live on a gravel road where there are more cows than people.

Even for some of those who aren't on the gravel roads surrounded by cows but instead are just on the outskirts.

I can't answer you question on "  Why do so many Canadian female submissives set their standards so low? "  I

wonder why so many people in general set their standards so low.   I have girlfriends who will break it off with one

man because they say "he's an ass and treats me like crap" then turn around a week or month later and be with the

same type of guy.  Their reasoning is that it's better than being alone and besides "He'll get better in time."   So you

see, it's not just kink folks that have low or high standards...it's people in general.

OP, I only know you from your recent posts here on CM and what I see is that you have very high standards and

expectations in regards to people and relationships.  That's neither good or bad...it just is.  It does become a

problem, though, when you try to push these attitudes on others.  I'd like to suggest you try to remain open-minded

but I don't think that would work for you.

I do know I have a very good friend who has similar views as yours in

regards to relationships and bdsm and after a failed marriage, because I believe he tried to push his kink on

someone who wasn't interested or ready, he has found woman...his slave.   Ironically, he knew her for a long time

and didn't meet on a kink site but in a very vanilla setting.  Neither lowered their high standards.

As for vanilla women ... I've no reason to think they'd be interested in the relationship I seek.

It is interesting that when people think of "love" they think "vanilla", and when they think of "sex" they think "bdsm".

Says a lot about the stereotypes, as if a loving bdsm relationship is a contradiction in terms.

I must say, this quoted portion above from one of your posts is confusing.  You talk about a perceived stereotype

you see in bdsm relationships and then go on to stereotype people for their opinions.  It reminds me of the televangilist

who damns people to hell for extramarital affairs and a list of other sins and then gets caught doing those exact

same things.

Best of luck with your search.

What the ottertail said.  Bob, you always complain about not finding what you seek.  You seem to be completely oblivious that your arrogance and one twue way attitude is a turn off to women.

There have been many intelligent women I have seen posting on CM that wrote nothing in their profile. They wrote nothing for many different reasons..

1. They were not seeking someone on the other side

2. Men don't read their profiles anyways

3. They like to be the one to initiate a conversation, not the other way around...

And on and on...

This truly shows how narrow minded you are Bob, if it doesn't fit in your box of the way you think it should be you judge it and dismiss it and never look at what it truly is... and then you think the problem is with everyone else..

I actually pity you.

I am concerned - "paradigm" hasn't cropped up in one of these ridiculous posts yet (give it time, though...)
and still the "Instant Love Guarantee" BS is in place - this guy is just full of it and a classic "one trick pony" to boot
