When I read this story on yahoo, I had 2 thoughts - Why didn't she just go to the prom with her date (without asking permission) and then why should she have to be sneaky?

That's dreadful! They need to get a new school board. That's just ridiculous. They knew the reaction she'd get, too! Shame on them! What a lot of backward, ignorant KKK members. I am so sorry that she didn't get more support from her classmates, though. They should have held a demonstration. That's just awful.

What does that say about the mentality of the people of that state? What about teaching tolerance and acceptance? The school board should be the first people embedded into the turd. It would be such a lovely land if we could dump the bottom half of this country.
