Canadian music has always been great...you left out The Band...who were mostly all canadian, oh and Ronnie Hawkins as well...a classic. As for Canadian TV, to be honest I am pretty disapointed by it overall, I can't think of much that I enjoy, other than TVO's Big Ideas (it televises various interesting lectures and readings) and sometimes The Independant Lens on CBC. CBC is also currently running a rather fascinating series on WW2 propaganda on both sides, called Love, Hate, & Propaganda...well worth watching. As for Canadian movies, those are often really interesting, ones I remember are The Black Robe, Artanajuat (sp?) the Fast Runner , The Decline of the American Empire, Looking for Leonard (not really that good, but I liked it for some unknown reason), The Shipping News (not sure if it counts as Canadian, but it was filmed in Canada), New Waterford Girl (Again, liked it even though its sort of slow and predictable), Passchendaele & one about some white explorers stranded in the far north who are taken in by Inuit starring Jeff Bridges I think. The talent is here, but generally it ends up going south as soon as they get even a bit of a name...maybe its because nature abhors a vacuum so sucks all our talent across the 48th
