Where do you get the silly Idea I don't notice them?

but it literally is 1-2 people per million.

and as we have seen, there is a movement of Leftists going to these rallies to look stupid.

There were far more anti semites and truthers, in the anti war movement Obama was part of.

But I hardly think it means that Thompson is representative of your views. After all you are both on the same side, right?

brainiacsub -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 5:23:55 PM)

Firm,

I agree with Mike on this - we are just going round and round. It's exhausting. Everything that you are asking has been asked a dozen ways to Sunday in the last 3-4 weeks. There have been at least a half dozen Tea Party threads where I, and all the other "usual liberal suspects," have given our opinions on the topics of racism, demographics, socio-economics, leadership, media, etc., when it comes to the Tea Party. If you want to know what I think, just use the search function with my name and "Tea Party" as the criteria and you will have all my opinions at your fingertip.

I'm not trying to blow you off, but I have answered your exact questions at least twice already in the past few days. I fear becoming a broken record if I don't get new material.

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 5:34:53 PM)

Firm, so you have posted actuall data from a respected nuetral source. That disagrees with the Preconcieved opinion of the all white, left wing troll brigade. So it is just going round and round and they won't discuss it anymore.

Trolls often act like that.

And Brianiac, all domi proved is that he is just as much a racist as "Dale with the sign". After all if simply publically using that word qualifies one as a racist, domi qualifies.

If I declined to continue this with Firm...a poster I have some respect for...what are the chances I would bounce it around with you?

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 5:50:26 PM)

None, Firm already posted actuall evidence that your are talking out of your ass. You will of course run away.

Slv, the thing is....you asked me a direct question.

I answered. and you run away. with a snide insult.

You asked. and you ran.

thats why you are a troll.

domiguy will come save you, don't worry

A new Gallup Poll out this morning of 1,033 finds nothing fringe about self-proclaimed Tea Party adherents; they are slightly more likely to be employed, male and definitely more conservative. But otherwise Gallup's Lydia Saad writes, "their age, educational background, employment status, and race -- Tea Partiers are quite representative of the public at large."

Tain't necessarily so, Firm. Look at the Gallup poll you cite. Tea Partiers may match socio-economic demographics of the general population but they are definitely more conserative (as stated above) 70% vs 40%, more Republican 49% vs 28%, more pro life 65% vs 46%, more fearful of the new healthcare bill (a whopping) 87% vs 50%, but as for independents ... about the same 43% vs 40%. So not a cultural match.

Interestingly, I did not see anything in Gallup about Less Spending, Less Intrusive Government.

Speculation on my part, this draws a portrait of a gaggle of social conservatives and libertarians [Ron Paul] Of the 1033 telephone interviews only 28% supported the Tea Party movement. Left that out of the headline. That is 289 of people interviewed. The great majority of these will draw votes away from the Republican candidate, I think, if this holds in 2012. Reminds me of what Ross Perot did to George H W Bush in 1992, handing the election to Clinton who had only 41% of the popular vote. Well, Ross put on a good show. Now we have Sarah!

True in the off cycle election of 1994 the Republicans captured the House and Senate. Question is will the 2010 elections produce a Republican Congress that can over-ride an Obama veto. I would not bet on it.

Pssst, Vince... I think an important point was that the assertations about the Tea Party being just a bunch of racist whites, just don't ring true.

What the fuck are you babbling about....no one ran...and especially not from the likes of you.Check my post to Firm in which I declined to go round and round with him...and stated my reasons.
Learn to read and then come back and try....I repeat try to carry on a discussion....You're no different than another guy that hangs around these parts...who feels screaming troll means he has won the debate/pont whatever....it just isn't so.
bye bye.

brainiacsub -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:20:44 PM)

I just pulled these up at random, and these were only a fraction of what I found, and 99% say the same thing:

The Tea Party supporters and activists are different groups. Both groups are overwhelmingly white, older, Conservative or very Conservative, Republican, (although there are some Independents and a few Democrats among the supporters, but not activists). The supporters tended to be wealthier and better educated, the activists (the ones making all the news) tended to be lesser educated and blue collar. I read probably close to 20 different recent poll results that all showed the same thing and picked the ones below at random. I couldn't find any polls, except for the ones conducted on Fox News website, that showed the Tea Partiers as representative of "mainstream" America.

thornhappy -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:27:15 PM)

Ah.  How silly of me.  To realize that an argument that's stalemated makes the other party a troll.

Boy, that would go over great at work.

Have you ever heard the saying....."the exception that proves the rule"
Perhaps you have found some pictures of some exceptions?
Unless your point is that these are by and large racially diverse crowds ?...which we both know is simply not the case.

Anyone else have any pictures of TEA party members with signs that have the "n-word" on them (and LeRoachians don't count)?

Seems to me like the "exception that proves the rule" in relation to TEA parties and racists is that the few identified racists in the TEA party prove the rule that they aren't, as a group, racist.

*shakes head*

I'm still interested in how you guys come so easily to the conclusion that the TEA parties are based on racist motives, absent any real evidence. To me, racism is about making judgments about entire groups of people based on our own prejudices. That comes pretty close to what I see in the labeling of all - or the majority - or even "a lot of" the members are "racist" based on so little evidence.

Firm

totally disingenuous post on your part...It's what you guys do. Dale is not some member. He is a leader..who operates http://www.teaparty.org/

Tom Tancredo is not some member he was a speaker at a rally.

You brush over the items you choose not to address. You make sweeping statements to marginalize any argument that you cannot refute.

Go back and read my posts and your responses. You continually add these fictional bullshit posts that have nothing to do what was asked or argued.

You are just like merc, sanity and the rest of the pretenders that haunt these posts. if you were ever held to any rules of debate you would fail dramatically.

Please continue to obfuscate all points by throwing meaningless and endless shit into your posts.

Booo.

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:37:21 PM)

How is it stalemated thorn? The polls show that Firm (and those saying that the Tea Partiers are not racist whacko fringe elements) are correct.

Instead of acknowledging that FACT, BRainiac and slvmike declare it is going around adn round. And are done. While ignoring the data, showing them wrong.

Now Brianiac is making up something based on the different terms used in different polls. But her data says the same.

Not fringe.
not whacko.
not racist.

The racist Whacko fringe Meme was spoonfed to the libtards, and is false.

Yes, but a Texas flag shirt (sadly), so maybe he's one of those "let's secede from the US" type patriots.

I'm sure he thinks he's being cute with the sign, but he's just making himself look like a fool.

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:39:36 PM)

So domi, you gonna admit you have used the "N" word in these boards?

Or you gonna lie?

domiguy -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:45:20 PM)

Honest to God...I have taken you to task before for being disingenuous with your posts. You have no regard for fair play or honesty.

It actually seems you are so entrenched that you are unable to comprehend anything if it lies outside of what you perceive should be the truth or if it is beyond your party's core beliefs.

You are not overly clever. You never approach an argument directly.

I will no longer waste my time with the likes of you.

Used it. Probably shouldn't have. Even if joking around, the word is offensive to many.

I have also used igga...Which is something different, altogether.

Ummm.... sure looks like that last link of yours is a poll.  It doesn't appear to have been conducted on the Fox News website.  The headline is "Tea Partiers Are Fairly Mainstream in Their Demographics" and within it does state that "Tea Party supporters skew right politically; but demographically, they are generally representative of the public at large. "

What was it you couldn't find?

Also one other thing mr happy pants, I am not the leader of any organization.

I am just the guy that you wish you were.

You knew this all along. So by me joking around with the black thing some how lessens the impact of the words of Tancredo or Dale?

You are a simpleton. This is how you construct an argument?

brainiacsub -> RE: Tea Party Crashers (4/14/2010 6:57:19 PM)

Treasure, you just repeated what I said. I clearly pointed out that there was a difference between those who call themselves supporters and those who identify as activists. You are saying the same thing I did in my post. Where is the disconnect?
