No, that's actually what they ask that you do. Here it is:

Often, your questions can be answered by doing a search of the archives. Please check the date of a thread and avoid commenting on anything more than 6 months old. If you would like to start a discussion based on a thread more than 6 months old, create a new post and include a link to the old thread. Posts telling people the “right” or “true” way to do things are unwelcome. If you are very knowledgeable about a certain topic, we welcome you to share your experiences, just keep your mind open to other possibilities.

Edited to add - I've actually seen a number of threads where a Mod will come on and post that it's three months, rather than six. Personally, I'm in favor of the shorter time frame.

I once took a subbie I met at the Black Rose in DC to a trendy bar with her hand cuffed behind her back, every one there tried to look nonchalant.

You know, I remember when I went to Black Rose (unfortunately not often because of my schedule, even when I lived near DC) that they really discouraged that sort of thing. Getting kicked out of a good munch place and getting a bad public rep because people want to show off their kink would kinda suck.

My pet has a collar that isn't a collar. lol He wears a silver necklace, handcrafted by me. It is snug against his neck and he never takes it off. Literally. I told him to remove it once, and he burst into tears, thinking he wasn't wanted and the like. I merely laughed and said I wanted to clean it. Anyway, everyone says 'Ooh what a pretty necklace.' But, all of our friends in-scene, if they haven't seen it yet, go 'Oh, is that the collar?' If you're scene, you know, if you aren't, you don't. That's the best kind of collar, to me.

See, I like that idea the best. It incorporates jewelry, my favorite, with a sentimental type of collar that does not scream LIFESTYLE.

QFT. It's not that difficult, I see the Mods in 3 month threads as well Lady Pact, and I am in favor of that time frame also. They generally ask to start a new thread.

I dont really have much to add to the topic really. other than... Who on earth decided that collars are a must in bdsm relationships? Collars are nice and sexy, but I dont get the whole notion that a collar is essentially needed to make the relationship seem 'real' or something,.

Years ago we used to hang the boy or girl on hook by their under-roos till some smart ass decided it was a hard limit and told all the boys and girls about limits. Now we hang them by the collar.
