I don't recall the OP saying that 'MS' (whatever that means for him) *did* involve his deepest beliefs and feelings, loverly.

No, but if you go back and read the quote, he did say not an S&m day, rather than not a M/s day.

Hmm.  He actually said SM.

Would any dominant seriously consider getting into sado maso play on the day her sub's having an operation?

I agree that it's reasonable to avoid S&M on the day of a medical procedure (and perhaps to deliberately avoid leaving marks for a week or two beforehand, if it is planned). The Domme's reaction of throwing things at you is over the top and uncalled for, but dumping you when you were on probation and deliberately disobeyed her is perfectly reasonable.

More reasonable to translate to Sadist masochist than slave Master.  Unless it was a typo or inversion of the letters for some reason.

On the second, not Me.  It's not My style.

In any case, I don't believe there is a M/s OR D/s dynamic in place here. But then again, how would I know? lol I am just going by what has been written.

Well, I'm buggered if I know.  We'll have to wait for the OP.

I wouldn't have thought so either, LP.    Personally, I'd think a domme who did demand sadomaso play on a day that she *knew* that I was going to have an operation of some sort is a bit on the looney side.

But did she know, here?  *Sigh*.  I think it might help if the two sides in the OP's story could attempt to communicate with one another just a smidgeon better.

Demanding "play" on an "agreed off day"?  She wasn't asking him to endure needle play to satisfy her sexual whims after he had a bad day to the dentist. Even if they had an agreed "break" from BDSM (of any flavor), then arguing, doing the opposite of what promised and agreed on, are not something you "take a break from" in a relationship.  By that logic, on a "bdsm off day" a man can cheat, lie and do other unsavory things.

"Honoring your word" is not an act of submission that is bound by the rules of a femdom relationship.  It's basic criteria for MOST relationships.  If he thought the "punishment" of taking away the console since he didn't honor his word was "S&M" and therefore should have been off the table, perhaps the alternative (which he got anyway) would have been better -- being kicked to the curb.

Why do so-called subs think they can just stop being honorable, dependable and responsible "when they don't feel 'subby'"  when "joe vanilla with no interest in kink" can manage to maintain this criteria as part of his respect for his partner?

I don't know what she was asking the OP to do on their agreed 'off day' - the OP hasn't told us.

Clearly, his buying a games console meant a lot more to both sides of the relationship here than it would to, say, me.

What can I say, Akasha?  This is an unusual sort of relationship.  I don't understand it and I can't fathom the two people involved in it.

I think I lean more to thinking she did, peon.  I went back and looked at the thread that I mentioned earlier in additional information when I was alluding to references from other posts.  http://www.collarchat.com/m_3207220/tm.htm

I won't say much about how other people do things.  However, if I find Myself in a situation where I'm instructing My sub to do something for three months (the dental appointment), I'm going to know when that appointment occurs.  Otherwise, I still see it as unfinished business and I'm going to be kept aware of the plans to make it finished business.  I may not know all of the details of the procedure, depending on how much the dentist discovered needing work during the course of the visit, but I would certainly know that it's happening.

Just read the op.

Here, he would have driven me to such an extensive procedure since he would rightfully assume that I might be a little shaky after. For someone like the op who has dental phobia, I'd figure a lot shaky after.

But announcing punishment for spending $20 or $40 is to take his $300 console? And not lock it away from him for two weeks as punishment but take it permanently which is how it read to me? And making him drive back yet again while still in pain and shaky?

Lots of red flags. Better to say that tomorrow when he's feeling better he has to return it unopened. A relationship best out of.

Sorry Ma'am but this guy does NOT need therapy. So do all selfish guy s who like to play X box have self esteem issues? i don t think so. This guy is just pure self centred nothing more. he thinks of himself- period.  Therapy is for real life mental health issues not a guy who goes out and buys an x box on impulse even if his Mistress specifically told him not to. he is defiant but his self esteem is not at issue. Therapy comes in only when self esteem is threatened. This is not the case here

You're 35 years old and you're still playing video games? In my opinion, you've got bigger problems than just your d/s relationship.

Lol I know ALOT of grown folks who play video games and computer games. We all need our distractions and ways to unwind.

Ah, well. I don't know any adults who play video and computer games. We must know very different types of people.

You know one adult, at least.  I'm a Combat Flight Simulator 3 Ace.   I've taken down hundreds of Focke-Wulfs in my Spitfire to date.  However, I'm one of those people who've managed to preserve a very youthful outlook on the world (though they don't always phrase it that way).

Lots of my geek friends are gamers! They left me behind at pinball, I'm afraid... But that's okay, none of them can knit!

~~

Regarding this particular cluster, I must agree with Domi (OMG AGAIN ANOTHER SIGN OF THE END TIMES!) and say that there's a tool for every task.

I can verify this. He never shuts up about the bloody thing.

(I say this with the very greatest love and affection, though, dearest...:P)

I really think that most people are idiots. it's my gift.

Ever have a day that you simply don't want to be fucked with?

I vant to be alone.

Part of the deal in any relationship is knowing that there are times to back off. There are times when and where people need their space. To not recognize "this fact" makes you a rather fucked up soul.

I guess it comes down to which type of a person are you?

The one with the profile that starts right off by saying that the sub is nothing more than property or is a person?

Have any of you reached a time or a place where you have thought "this is not the day to fuck with me?".....Everyone has. To be unable to recognize this makes you either completely insensitive to the needs of others, a total self centered ass or a combination of the two.

I am going off of one single post.

Here is the other deal. As a pretty mother fucking cool and righteous dude I would have probably never been interested in the likes of the op ( aside from the cock, 5 o'clock shadow, tit deficiency and balls) But many of you fucks strike me as being rather desperate.

You are forced to accept rehab projects because you are in such a state of bankruptcy you cannot begin to afford anything better.

So sad.

(imho)YMMV
