I suppose you are referring to some specific event where you can "prove" it's all astroturf, though, right? Whatever. Your willful ignorance serves my goals nicely.

Per your request:

From Wikipedia:
The Tea Party Patriots are a national organization that claims to have over 1000 local chapters, run with the help of Freedomworks, a conservative nonprofit led by former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey.[53][54][55][56][57]

The Tea Party Express is a national bus tour run by Our Country Deserves Better PAC, a conservative Political Action Committee created by Sacramento-based GOP consulting firm Russo, Marsh, and Associates.[55][58][59][60]

But you have a point- middle aged women do make up much of the movement. They just don't run it.

Your turn.

What, "turn," Rex? You posted exactly as my theory said you would. Go with it. It will probably work for Boxer.

Myths are so much more convenient than reality.

Reality does, of course, have that advantage of being true.

But a self-organizing ground swell? Busted.

Owner, again, I was talking about "community organizers" not about President Obama!
You're reading something into it that's just not there!
Gee, thanks a lot for lumping me in with "the guys on my left and right."
Who are the groups that are funding the community organizers? You're talking about a LOT of money!
I'm not one of the bad guys, I just want to see my country run the right way.
Is "poor neighborhood" some kind of leftist "code" for "black?"

I would call this bullshit but that doesn't quite cut it, it's fucking bullshit.

You just are so worried by community organizers that you posted this thread and it really has nothing to do with Obama?

My guess Popeye is that you had no fucking clue what a community organizer was until Obama became a candidate.

Now you are all wide-eyed and innocent claiming this is not really an attack on Obama.

But then again, you are an Independent moderate who really has no stake either way.  You just coincidentally support every issue of the conservatives and Republicans and denounce every issue supported by liberals and Democrats.

Lets take an example. The Tea Party organizers are in charge of organizing the Tea Parties, selecting the appropriate messages, informing the crowd of what posters and words are acceptable, and which ones are not.

They do organize the groups to have the busses arrive on time, go to a certain location, etc.

Who pays these community organizers?

Even more interesting. Most of the tea Parties are organized by Freedom Works, which is headed by Dick Armey, who was a lobbyist for Wall Street banks and insurance companies through his firm, DL Piper. As to where exactly all the money comes from to pay for all those fancy busses, PA systems, banners, pamphlets and such- I haven't a clue.

You are most certainly wrong.

The teabaggers have grass-roots protests

No one organizes or funds them.

They just bloom like wildflowers in the Spring.

Rule, you are full of bullshit, I grew up in a neighborhood full of "community organizers" as I stated earlier.
Obama was and is a *lawyer*, not a community organizer. And if I wanted to talk about him so what? That's "against the rules" or something??? And what "rules" are those?
And I got the idea for this from another thread in here.
And now I, "cooincidently support every issue of the conservatives and republicans?" Which issues are those, gay marriage, legalizing marijuana, a woman's right to choose, national healthcare, getting out of Nafta and all those "free trade deals" or maybe it's helping the homeless?
You leftists and communists believe in "free-speech" as long as it agrees with your "politically correct" "philosophy."
There's only two ways of thinking to a communist, "their way" and" the wrong way." That's why you can never have a two-way conversation with a politically correct anal-retentive goosestepper. If it's not in the "manifesto" it's to be disregarded.
Again, where exactly do you guys come up with this stuff? It has to be something you're reading! It has to be written down somewhere, doesn't it?
And I asked where does all the money come from to pay all these community organizers and support all their activities and,... no answer! Noone seems to know! Either that or they (do know) but they don't want to say anything.
"Rule my life". Joe Stalin would have loved that name!
Boy, the Democrats must be *so happy* to have you people infesting their party!

Panda, your second and third sentances directly contradict each other!

"Yes, as a matter of fact I have seen them many, many times!"

"I have never in my life seen a community organizer knock on a door and ask for a check!"

Well which is it?

What are you talking about? Where's the contradiction? It can't be any more clear.

I have seen community organizers working hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, the wealthiest neighborhood in the city of Minneapolis. And I have never once seen a single one of them ask a resident for money. They simply do not do it.

How could that possibly be any more clear, and where is the contradiction? I have no idea where you're coming from, but it seems pretty obvious you're starting from a collection of complete misconceptions about who community organizers are and what they do.

quote:

ORIGINAL: popeye1250
Obviously you've never heard of "Massperg" They knocked on our door when I lived in Massachusetts many, many times but, we lived in a "poor neighborhood!"

Of course I've heard of them, but it's not MassPERG, it's MassPIRG.

But so what? They're not a community organization, they're a statewide public-interest lobbying group. It's a completely different type of organization. They're not community organizers, they're activists and canvassers. Obviously you don't know the difference. To you, anyone who knocks on a door with a clipboard is a community organizer, and that's that.

So like I said, you obviously have no clue at all what a community organizer is, what they do for a living, or how they do their jobs. If you really wanted to know, you could google it, and find any number of websites explaining it to you, but no. That wouldn't be any fun, would it? Instead, you spend upwards of 5 pages ridiculing and insulting a group of people who, for the most part, are very decent, hard-working human beings, because that's apparently a barrel of laughs for you. You have no idea who these people are - know absolutely nothing about them - yet you spend 5 pages insulting them.

Why? I'm really curious. What do you get out of insulting people you know nothing  about? What's the psychology behind that?

quote:

ORIGINAL: popeye1250
There's got to be a "manual" somewhere! You lefties aren't capable of marching on your own.
You guys are starting to sound like *Communists.* Is there some type of "Manifesto" that you guys are reading that is putting ideas in your heads?

So obviously we can add "communist" to the ever-lengthening list of words that you have no idea what they mean. And before you get so high and mighty about us "lefties" not being able to think for ourselves, keep in mind which one of us has demonstrated the ability to use google in this thread - and the intellectual honesty to do so - and which one of us was content to not only post ignorant, uninformed misconceptions, but boast about it.

So Panda, let me get this straight, you've seen "community organizers" knocking on doors for "hundreds or thousands of hours" but,.....*they don't want money?*

And then, CM took Popeye to  back of the wood shed - for a beating.

Argh!

Really now.    I see very little debate per "community organizer".   A telling example of how simple in-unendo can kill the task at hand.

Well, what kind of outcome do you expect when the  so-called "question" is phrased, "Hey, you lazy queers who sleep until noon and then spend all afternoon bribing poor people to show up at protests, where do you get your money?" He's lucky he got any responses at all, let alone anything halfways civil or informative.

Consider the totality of all of popeyes posts.

There in lies the proof.

This is a back of the wood shed beating on him.    and rather uncalled for.

The totality of his posts is the whole problem. It's been 5 - no, now 6 - pages of nothing but bigoted insults and lies about a group of people he knows absolutely nothing about, most of whom are fundamentally very decent human beings, and many of whom have done far more to make the world a better place in which to live than he's ever even dreamed of doing.

Uncalled for? He got off easy.

Do we see "community organizers" in wealthy neighborhoods knocking on doors? What if they knocked on John "French" Kerry's door, do you really think they'd get a check from HIM? They wouldn't make it to his front door, his security people would grab them! And his neighbors wouldn't be home, those people usually work for a living. They're rarely there, they could be anywhere in the world.
You don't get any money by knocking on doors in wealthy neighborhoods, unless you're lucky enough to run into one of the butlers or maids at the nearby market who feels sorry for you!

So where DO they get all that money from? The poor? Beg from the poor to . . . beg from the poor? Dude, you don't even make sense.
