Icarys, I am VERY glad to see this olive branch. I, for one, wil be watching to see if it not only stays extended, but is ACCEPTED. This is one of the few occurrences I would consider a personal gift, and be very appreciative of from both of you.

Seriously Michael we all know you don't have to take it, you may not even want to take it, but you know I gotta agree it would show quite a few people some of that Personal Growth you were talking about in your other thread.

I rarely care with Icarys posts, I have been the target of some of the snideness in the past, but when he posts something I agree with I say I agree, because no one's views are completely worthless.

You have every right to think someone is a putz but you do not always have the right to call them a putz/twat/fill in the appropriate bit-o-nasty.......(except quietly, to yourself, under your breath)

Status: offline 		Olive branches are simply symbols not behavior. He barges into threads doing his best to fuck them up and draw attention to himself. When that changes there is no need for symbols. I don't hold grudges, just ask Merc. Him and I used to go at each other tooth and nail in the politics threads and I just spent the weekend enjoying his fine company and the only use we would have for an olive branch between us is to roast sacred cows with it.

I don't haunt his posts looking to take petty potshots and in the old days, the mods deleted that sort of crap and if someone didn't stop, they put them on probation and they did it ruthlessly. Mod 11 actually taught me a lot and despite our differences, I appreciate that.

Thanks for not missing the opportunity to show your disdain in a gloriously passive aggressive way.

Because a person has different views doesn't make them an asshole...It's how they come across saying it that does and then to me it's even more about what drives those words that I don't like.. I dislike arrogance and snubbing your nose at other human beings. I have been known to hold a mirror up to people that I thought were doing that to others or at least that's my intent.

Apparently today, you decided to illustrate exactly what a Bad Example is, and done so eloquently. Noone was shitting in the box you were playing in, but yet you felt necessary to enforce gang mentality, and because you were not specifically spoken to, to try to kick the sand up with your little feet. It would also appear that you do not care what I have to say. The only thing that I can politely say, is how dissapointed I am in you, and that I thought you were more mature and more domly than this. Apparently that goes to show, even Admin are wrong, because my opinion of you was totally incorrect, but luckily, it has now been corrected,

As far as I see it Michael we've been doing the same things. Not to mention this is a public forum..Nobody has to barge into anything.

If you can't see all of that...We can just stop communicating as far as I'm concerned after this thread.

Yes but his last two posts have shown better behavior than this. As far as petty potshots, pot meet kettle,because that is what you are doing now. If you continue to do it, since you want to bring to the boards visible angst, while another appears to want peace, you need to be forewarned, I am tired of petty squables and the next one to start it is going under moderation. Or would you prefer, settle down, children? That is how you are behaving at this very moment, after all.

Editted to add: And be forewarned , I will be ruthless in MY deleting and moderating in relation to this.

If anyone thought my Post was intended to be flamatory, it wasn't it was an attempt at levity and an inside joke between Michael and I.

It was not Passive Agressive it was actually a genuine attempt to ask Michael to take the Olive Branch, because his personal growth has come with attempts not to hold grudges and to mend lines of communication even with people he does not agree with.

Although I guess this is all on topic after all , because quite a few images have been addressed here of various posters, how about we steer this in a different direction?

Michael - Once you saw the error of your ways and the pragmatically correct position I was taking we got along GREAT! Besides us 'Viceroys' stick together through thick and thin. I know you are too shy to announce it Michael however this is a good time to offer public congratulations for being honored last weekend with a 'Robe of Consideration' from the 'House of Merc'!
