Yes, I have-the question was tongue-in-cheek.

Seriously, we need a sarcasm font.

I'd be using it for about everything then.

The full title is Floofywoofypootlekins, thankyewverrrrrrymuch.

(Note the t in pootle-the internal rhyme is inconsistent. I like it better that way.)

I'll stick with anteater.  I know how to spell it.

I wonder what that word sounds like in British.

I'm imagining the Queen, imagining the word, saying it... Ahhhh I see. The "oo" part was the poshest.

I would record it for your edification but it's 2.45am and my headset is in the other room and I ache too much to go and get it.

EdUfication would have been even better. Edufictation. Edufictate me about your fictional word some other time.

Edit: Isn't edification just for moral knowedge? (I totally googled it.)

He does answer to the term of endearment "prick" by the way...if you want to go even shorter.

Without checking: I know it's from the Latin aedifico, aedificare meaning to build (as in a physical structure), and I'm assuming it's via French. My brain thinks it's an Enlightenment word, and if so then it ties in with their whole 'all knowledge is morally uplifting by virtue of being knowledge' vibe.

Disclaimer: my brain could be wrong about the last part. But it's definitely right about the Latin, because edificate was my marker word for aedificare during my exams.

I was tired of seeing these unidentified drive by's asking a slew of questions for some kind of material to masturbate themselves.

Definitely would be on the boards more but other things have taken my time. From these damned masturbation posts I give you real people people.

Thoughts have also taken my time as well as self-reflection (non-masturbatory).

So my time on these boards consists of people I enjoy because they have depth, clarity, and a perverse sense of humor. Ah. Flirtation and Rousing people seem to be a past time as well.

In any case I am going to read what my favorite people have to say tonight because it is well worth it.

Despite the drivel.

Hmmmm. Only started posting here last year, so I can't help with the institutional memory thang . . .. .

I come here, in large part, for some social connection. I do a lot of more solitary reading on the 'net, too, news sources & all kinds of stuff. But I post to message boards because I'm yearning for some human interaction, to connect.

&, due to my various quirks, I'm most comfortable engaging in intellectual discourse & at a distance. Staying safely ensconced way up in my head & behind my keyboard until I think it's safe to come down & out . . .. . .

I read here with the avatars & post counts disabled, so I never see any of that unless I specifically turn that feature back on . . . . & I tend to post only when I have something at least sorta original to contribute or when a surveying kind of question grabs my interest . .. .

& I'm gonna let Paul Reubens & Jewel say the rest of my piece for me . . . .

Paul Reubens Playboy interview, September 2010: Over and over you hear people say, “Well, you’re an actor. This is what you signed up for.” Who thinks that way? Who are these people who think you sign up to be shit on? Or people say, “Toughen up. Get some tougher skin!” Here’s the truth: (a) I’m an artist, (b) I don’t want to have tough skin, (c) I don’t want to live in a world where everybody has to have this tough skin and has to pretend what happened didn’t hurt my feelings, and (d) it does hurt my feelings! Fuck you. Go say that about somebody else.

Jewel, I'm Sensitive

Okay, yeah, I do wanna add to that last. I like being sensitive. I've worked at being more sensitive over time, rather wholistically. Don't know how it works for others, but my emotional sensitivity & physical sensory sensitivity are all intertwined & increasing sensitivity to any one tends to increase sensitivity in all of them, a slow subtle process. It has its prices but it's worth it, to me . . . . . .
