I'm trying so hard here to try to be constructively polite.

Delight, you come across as the guy at a party that sits in a corner complaining about the lighting system being made in a foreign country, rather than getting wasted and picking up a girl.

I can only imagine your line of attack in any debating issue is "wear them down by depressing them senseless".

I actually feel drained reading your postings.  Cheer up man.  Whatever it is you're so eternally miserable about, get over it.

Or at least, quit sharing it.

Look at meatcleavers last post saying how painful it is to watch England.

AT LEAST IT WAS FUNNY

That's like saying "I bet you'd be great at a party, Eng -- you'd be insulting half the people." This isn't a party and you aren't behaving like a serious person. Of course, to someone like you, someone who seemed serious at all would seem too serious. I've been humorous at times, even on this thread, but you're not interested in accuracy and have never shown yourself to be interested in it.

Despite your trying to come off as lighthearted, you're really not just unserious, but malicious as well. Really, the worst of both worlds. I'm talking about how you're acting on this thread, not how you are in life, because, believe it or not, it's a little presumptuous to be assuming an entire personality around the way a person makes comments on a particular thread.

If I'm so ridiculous, then why are you trying so hard to hold your temper?

You're pretty loudmouthed about your attachment to honor and high personal standards, but you sound very much here like a very petty, very spiteful individual.

If I were so wrong, you'd be able to lay out the reasons. If I were so ridiculous, this post of yours wouldn't look so mean and spiteful.

You might want to revise this statement high on your profile, because right now you look pretty small:
"I'm an easygoing gentle giant"

Here's another few lines you recently posted. You might want to revise them from your own list of personal standards, given the preferences you seem to favor based on the post I quoted above:

People I can not Tolerate:

  1. Mean minded people.

***
   3. People who pour abuse and derogatory comments on other peoples' works ....

I love you.

There.  I've said it.

Last night I dreamt
That somebody loved me
No hope - but no harm
Just another false alarm
Last night I felt
Real arms around me
No hope - no harm
Just another false alarm
So, tell me how long
Before the last one?
And tell me how long
Before the right one?
This story is old - I KNOW
But it goes on

lol good idea, let's let it keel over and expire, finally.

P.S. We could, using all the forces of the Commonwealth, easily take back our American colony any time we chose.

We'd bring the combined forces of England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Canada,  Jamaica, Fiji, Kenya, India, Pakistan and those of 41 other nations down to bear on your sorry arses.

We just don't need it right now.

Thread Summarized:

Currently all other countries put America to shame. All other countries on the planet actually defend their borders. America, however, allows criminals to walk in and take whatever they want because America's government is afraid of being called names by the invaders.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
quote:

pathological narcissism is a maladaptive, rigid, and persistent condition that can cause significant distress and functional impairment. The disorder is defined by the DSM as characterized by an all-pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), the need for excessive admiration or adulation, and a distinct lack of empathy, all of which are present in a variety of contexts. Its onset usually begins by early adulthood, with a failure to outgrow the normal narcissism inherent in adolescence

Narcissistic adults are widely thought to be the result of bitter disappointment, of radical disillusionment in the significant others

True story.
Many, many years ago, in ye olde Plymouth, the rugby team needed some new members, so they went to each house asking men if they wanted to join.  A few members said they would and turned up the next day at training.  The coach couldn't help but notice how some of them had turned up with round metal boxes on their heads and padding all over their body.  "What the hell is all that??" said the coach.  "Protection in case we hurt ourselves" came the reply.  The coach was furious.  "What are you, men or mice?  Take those stupid helmets off and undo all that padding" he fumed.

They refused, and the coach was so incensed he had them deported on a ship called the Mayflower.  That type of rugby now appears popular in America as a sport called "American football".

And to this day, you can still hear British rugby fans laugh whenever they see the way they're dressed.
