Depends on how picky you are.  I have one maybe-opening in my poly household for a bisexual sub or switch who must be of "our tribe", eg, an intellectual/academic geeky type who is into a similar flavor of geekdom that we are (tabletop gaming, SCA, Faire, LARP, etc) and who is mostly attracted to my primary partner because my own time is already largely taken up with my heterosexual secondary partner, and whose safe-sex history and practices we can absolutely trust. 

Put it this way.  I'm not holding my breath. [8|]

Really?  I do almost exclusively rough body play by preference.  It is much more primal and satisfying to get my bare hands on someone than to use toys.  [:)]

If you don't know how picky I am by now, I'm not even going to try to explain that one.  LOL. 

On a serious note, I think it's actually harder when you're looking at a poly situation because there are more things to consider.  Sure, it's possible not to think of the other members of the poly family and not refine your search even more due to what already exists when there are three to begin with, but it isn't practical.  Not if you want to be successful as a unit.

For the longest time I said that I honestly considered My pool of potentials that would make a good fourth was about the size of an eyedropper.  Yet, I'm in the middle of no where, I'm still able to find people.  A town of 30,000 compared to a city of three million?  Please.

Exactly. Our pool is actually pretty small, despite living in a decently sized city with a good solid BDSM community, because it's a poly situation and everyone's wants and needs must be considered.   It's not nonexistent, just pretty damn small compared to the number of generally available heterosexual male submissives in our area who wouldn't be a good fit for us because they're not geeky gamer types, not intellectual/academic, not bisexual or not cut out for poly.  Multiple requirements plus the need to fit in personality-wise with an existing poly family narrows it down rather considerably.

A single femdom who doesn't have a lot of hard criteria is going to have a ridiculously big pool of candidates in any large city however, even if she is picky in other respects.

It just can't be that a man is entitled to have standards in choosing what type of woman he wants. After all, no woman will do the things he seeks unless she likes it too. So with this in the picture, its “give and take” as both parties are enjoying the scenarios.

It's as ridiculous as saying just because a man likes vanilla sex, it’s somehow a one sided perspective that he as a chauvinist male simply wants a woman to cater for him in a one sided scenario. Umm hello? Don't women seek sex too? So that means she only wants a one sided deal too instead of seeking a man who equally wants the scene to take place. She is just a chauvinist too?

It never ceases to amaze me to see how much bias is against a submissive male for having fantasies. This forum cracks me up all the time. The bigotry is rife.

If a submissive woman claims that she has fantasies wanting to be fulfilled , these types of ridiculous accusations hardly gets mentioned as the argument will switch to… "she is a woman living in 2011, she has the right to choose what she wants out of men"

But it seems that a man’s freedom to have standards in choosing a potential partner is more limited as there are more negative accusations thrown at his gender for simply having standards.
