In general-- I think women in combat is a bad idea.

In general- combat itself is a terrible idea.

Not everyone is a shoe maker, some bake bread, and some plant the crops.

The danger in women in combat- sets a precedent for a draft- when it is time- same deal for gays. Who wants to fight these wars? Seriously.

Men think in linear- women think in cloud.

I dont think women should be banned- or gays either. But I do think- that it takes a rare person who is cut out for combat.

Maybe if we were not so busy spreading peace- there would be less war?

Prior to gays being allowed- officially- I heard they put them in food service. Which is a good idea. We all like to eat, right?

I heard of a gal in Iraq who dehydrated- she drank less- so that she did not have to go to the latrine at night-- where she feared rape.

Sadly rape and sexual harassment is common in the service.

If my house caught fire and I relied on someone to drag me out- my hunch is a male could do it- a female could not... but I should would not care who did - if it got me out.

Post service I think every enlisted person should do a couple of years in the municipal dog-catcher section. Right skills for the right job, and all.

Yep, as well as rape of civilians by soldiers.

When you're actually choking on the acrid smoke at the top of your stairs, and a male+female firefighter at the foot of them are discussing which one is going to traverse the treacherous steps to haul you down, let's see if you're as equality-driven then.

I see no reason as to why Women shouldnt be able serve with Men,if thats what they want to.Canada has let Women fight in combat,so should we.Its kind of like when they repealed "Dont ask,Dont tell" last month,if someone who is gay wants to serve,then let them.It seems to me all those who say otherwise are really just showing their ignorance and intolerance.Men and Women clearly have physical differences.Thats understandable and that can be worked around.For all those who say letting Gays and Women in combat will chase away other Men who wont want to work with them.Fine,then dont.Our Armed Forced should not keep defending the intorance and ignorance of certain soilders that they have in their ranks.
