Honestly, in this case the union goons are playing the part of Hosni Mubarak,  growing wealthy at taxpayer expense while blatantly defying the will of the people.

Intellectual dishonesty at it's finest, tommie.

I know what you mean.

I can't tell you how many union workers I know who have their chauffeurs drive them in their Bentley from their ocean side mansion to their government job.

You are so brain addled from too much cheap alcohol to even bother reading your posts little man, you always hit the same sour note while desperately trying to seem relevent. Hint - you are never on topic, this is the best you ever muster, these cheesy personal attacks.

Have another drink loser, and it will all be alright though, I am sure.

The people of Wisconsin spoke loud and clear last November. They took control of the assembly, the senate and the governors office by electing republicans. If we were happy with the status quo, democrats would still be in power. Now the senate democrats have fled the state and are in hiding in Rockford,IL..

Where is Obama? That two faced bitch should be backing the Democratic process, not those desperately clinging to power in spite of the will of the voters.

I htought this was especially hysterical
<snip>What amazes me is that everything these mobs are doing theyre doing in the face of the voters who elected the people currently in power, the voters who sent these representatives to do exactly what they are doing.</snip>
This has been happening since Obama got in the white house(well before, I know but im looking at it from MY POV only), but when its baggers n the repubs demonstrating, or joining together in a grass roots movement , its different, SNORTS
of course there are thousands of posts just on this board with that attitude towards the administration from the opposition
sinking to his level is abhorrent tho
the brain bleach cleanup is getting repetitive

I didnt think you would respond to that one honestly, your expectations of others  and willingness to ignore it for yourself is so damn apparent
but with more of the same you just proved my point.
Now shouldnt he (obama) really be keeping out of "state" business
if he did interfere, you would be the first one flinging shit and screaming like a baby.
You would be a good teaparty candidate

It kind of proves the point that teachers are not underpaid. That total excludes their pension and the best health care plan in the state.

The pay isn't competitive for someone with similar qualifications. I used to be a science teacher and coach. Know why I left? 50% raise over my teaching salary to go help set up an electron microscopy lab.

If these teachers are not happy with their pay and benefits, they have the same option as you did. Go some where else to work.

Very good mnot, you came up with some numbers that are actually relevant to the thread. Very good, for someone of your caliber. Now, can you come up with an argument to go with them, such as teachers should make more than governors? Or that governors shouldnt get paid?

Anything at all?

You reckon a vocational teaching qualification is good for getting into another line of work, then?

The only prob with that theory is that (if your better educated and more intelligent folks keep leaving the field for more lucrative employment) what are you left with?

48K is peanuts. My degree is in mathematics and so if I went and got a teaching certificate I could teach high school math, of course that would have required taking more than a 50% pay cut before I had to go on disability.

It's strange how those "if we don't pay the top wages, we won't get the top people" arguments that were being bandied about to justify the banking bail out don't seem to apply to public sector workers. It's often the same people who were making excuses for the plutocrats deserving their bonuses despite wrecking the global economy who are pissing and moaning about low level civil service employees and teachers expecting a decent benefits package to make up for their shitty pay as well. Funny that.

Can you prove 650 teachers were not sick?

Answer the question. Were the wife and kids at home? Or were they secure in the Gov's mansion?

I know the answer... obviously you do not.

Well, moon, there's a weeeeeeeeee bit of difference between paying a teacher 50 or 60K and paying an executive 10 Mil.

Especially since there is a good chance the teacher is more intelligent than the executive.

Yep. The teacher is actually doing something to earn the money for a start, and I don't think there's any examples historically of teachers crashing the stock market or inflating a credit bubble.

The feeling is mutual, funny tho how you cannot argue the points I made, you change topic, move goalposts and yet you still respond. trying to upset me
what a failure
