Well of course. You don't think we elected the black guy on his merits, do you?

Speaking of, when are ya'll going to get yourself some royalty of color?

STFU

So we are racist because we elected a black president?

More of the white man's grief Richie?

When will white men be free of all the racist oppression?

Obama is not actually black.

Brown?

Is that a new category?

This discussion was done to death when he was campaigning for the presidency.

Let's not revisit it.

Only because you very rarely make any sense.

But enjoy and carry on.

I'm so sick of liberals trying to claim this is a racist country, so traditional conservatives will continue to bend over backwards to make minorities happy. If you want to know the truth, more people have been discriminated for being fat, stupid, and ugly than have ever been discrminated against for their skin color or ethnic origin. You want to talk about real racism, that's when someone gets hired or promoted based on their race, and right now affirmative action is still on the side of minorities. We also just had an election where 95% of blacks voted for a white washed black man. Even Colin Powell turned on his own party, and the party of Martin luther King to support his own race. Now that's true racism.

No America is not racist....the only way one could put forth an argument that a country is racist would be if racism were embedded in the law of that particular land.
We,as a Country, have actually went thru great struggles(struggles that revealed heroes that are commonly exalted today...such as Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King)to reach a point where equality is the law of the land....and we as a country have reaped the benefits of that struggle.
Now were you to ask does America have ,and unfortunately breed, large numbers of racists......sadly yes.
We will sooner or later reach a point where that is not so....but legislation has never been able to change the character of hard and bitter hearts.

Lets also not forget that minorities can be and are racist. As a white phone man working in the inner city of Milwaukee for 18 years I could write a book. You can all cry me a river.

So what do we call affirmative action then, Mike?

Allow me to go on record as apologizing to you for whatever racism you have suffered as a result of being fat, stupid and ugly. There is no,absolutely no justification for that sort of behavior.

I would have to say no. However, the US, as a whole, has a major fixation on race, much more so than most other places.

Black people tend to vote Democratic. Obama getting 95% of the black vote had more to do with him being a Democrat than Black. Just ask Alan Keyes. I know what you are thinking. It's "Who the fuck is Alan Keyes?"

Exactly

Do you guys really think Obama won the Presidency just because he was black?

Hey, guess how many white people voted for a white candidate in 2000? If you guessed 100%, you are correct!

Impeccable logic.

Let's just take every law on the book and find the essential phrase in the law and proclaim that "America is a  - - - -  country".

A minority hating country, a minority loving country; a rich people hating country, a rich people loving country; a poor people hating country, a poor people loving country; a large business hating country, a large business loving country ....

It's all there, it says so in the laws.

Were you under the mistaken impression that Affirmative Action was intended to address hearts and minds?
See I have always thought it was legislation intended to address institutionalized racism.
I wonder which one of us has a handle on this point?

I would hate for his misreading of my first post to have confused him to such a degree.
