I'm so sick of liberals trying to claim this is a racist country, so traditional conservatives will continue to bend over backwards to make minorities happy. If you want to know the truth, more people have been discriminated for being fat, stupid, and ugly than have ever been discrminated against for their skin color or ethnic origin. You want to talk about real racism, that's when someone gets hired or promoted based on their race, and right now affirmative action is still on the side of minorities. We also just had an election where 95% of blacks voted for a white washed black man. Even Colin Powell turned on his own party, and the party of Martin luther King to support his own race. Now that's true racism.

Oh. I'm so sorry Cuck that those people have been so mean to you.

I wonder which one of us has a handle on this point?

It puts race into the law, Mike. Now the best of intentions may have been there, but the thing speaks for itself.

No it,by force of law, sought to level a playing field that was prior to it's passage decidedly tilted.
Surely you are not disputing the previous tilt.

It doesnt surprise me, since you still think you can eliminate poverty by giving money away, but I'll help you out. You cant stop racism by being racist.

I'm not disputing it for a second, but we are where we is. Not there yet.

What "whole thing"? It was asked if he won just because he was black, of course the question was about race. And the answer therefore has to be about race, and it is the correct answer. A white man with his paucity of experience would have had zero chance of winning the nomination. If you think otherwise then youre simply denying reality. Ask Geraldine Ferraro.

I believe I made that point in my first post. That isn't to say that the Country can be termed racist....South Africa under apartheid was racist.....America while Jim Crow laws were in effect could be said to be racist. We have racist's.....The U.S.of A. can not,any longer be said to be a racist country.

I don't believe America as a whole can is racist anymore. There are racist still around.Racists of ALL colors.Lets not pretend its just a 'white problem".I have come across quite a few hardcore black racists before.Theres spanish racist and so on.Every country has racist.I think at least America has been able to confront its racist past and learn from Americas horrible mistakes. If anyone is a racist in America in 2011,then thats their problem really, not mine. The guilt trip of something that happened long before I was born doesn't work with me.If someone wants to play the race card, then that just shows their level of stupidity.

I think that pretty much says it all.

But at least you admit it, unlike so many who pretend his race is not why they are so opposed to him.

Then why didn't Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson get the nomination when they ran?

Why do you equate an assessment of the role race played in the election, with support or opposition of the President's policies and qualifications?

Are there racist people in America ? Yes. There are racists everywhere. However, America is the least or among the least racists countries in the world.
