it's been a while since i've seen a thread related to this.. but what comes to mind when you're thinking about hypnosis in a bdsm context?

it's an interest of mine and i was wondering what some people have done with it, what people's opinions are, etc etc.

I have been put in a trance for relaxation, and it was great.

It sounds like it could truly be an exercise in submission...not just giving of yourself to someone, but giving them ultimate control over your thoughts...yummy!

I have been put under hypnosis with a master from the past and it is a very nice feeling

Hypnosis works kinda like submission - I could have yanked myself out of the trance if I had so desired. I enjoyed the experience.. more than once.

Caveat: Pain doesn't exist (for me) while under a "spell" ... so the Other person needed to know when to stop, because I couldn't feel a thing- in terms of pain intensity. The HUGE bruises were reminders of where I had gone and to what extreme.

I've always thought that the Dom voice was a kind of hypnosis. When I hear it, I obey without question before I've had a chance to think.

Edited to Add: the other threads are aimed at specific questions. this one i've aimed more at general impressions and (if anybody cares to share them) stories about what some people have done. i hope this explains it better
