Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of submissives from the other side who can tell you I was rude to them. The way I see it, if I say something like no ABs in My profile, and I get messages anyway from someone asking Me to be their "Mommy," I've already told them once. If I say that I only want mail from people from the forums or who are local to Me, I really don't want the crap in My mail from those who don't fit those categories.

It's really all about perspective. I figure I was 'nice' the first time when I wrote the information in My profile. I'm not going to be as pleasant if I have to repeat Myself.

Oh, it wasn't that I was concerned about it. Merely that I would probably fit into the category and why.

Nine times out of ten, I'll tell someone why I am blocking them before I do so. I still hold this faint glimmer of hope that maybe, if enough women say some version of "read the profile," there might just be a few cases where it will sink in. The cases where I do, it is never folks from the forums.

Time after time you will see one Domme or another in the forums write that (1) you should read their profile, (2) no one line messages, (3) be considerate, and (4) write to them as a woman first. So you see a profile you like, take the time to read it thoroughly, see that it does look like a good possible match, then take the time...possibly as much as an hour or even more...to write out a thoughtful, considerate letter (and no, not necessarily a really long one...just one that is well put together). And what happens? No response at all. That's about as rude as you can get. However, I just see it as an indication of the type of person she actually is, and know that it is best to find that out right off the bat instead of after an even larger investment of time.

Surely there's enough to go around. Maybe people could form a nice orderly queue, draw straws, and each get a different day of the week. We'll probably need a lot more days in a week, but it's certainly a workable solution.

i don't recall getting any really rude replies when i was looking for a domme, and since i stopped looking i don't do much in the way of first contact outside of something forum related.

i have, however been known to send out a slightly less than polite reply on rare occasions.

I agree. I think this bothers me far more than any rude comment that they could make. The lack of response makes me feel like she didn't even find me worthy of saying "Thanks, but no thanks" to. That kind of hurts. Particularly when my message was very respectful and well-written.

I don't expect everyone that I contact to be interested in me. But if I've clearly gone through some effort to be thorough and respectful in my communication, the least they could do is acknowledge receiving the message.

The rudest thing a Domme has said to me was said by a local Domme who really didn't think she was being rude when she made the following comment. She contacted me (not vice versa). Yet she felt it was appropriate to say the following during the course of trying to convince me to serve her:

"I would like you to be my slave. I need someone to clean my house and do yard work. You seem like you'd be a good slave. However, you can't touch me. I am not attracted to black men, so there would be no sex or anything like that. That would be gross!"
