Maybe I'm a bit jaded here, but this type of thing reminds me of how people often respond to my illness. As if I am doing something wrong or haven't done something I should do. Most the time they don't even know what my illness is and they are telling me what might cure me! They come to me and start spouting off about this or that and if my response isn't what they think it should be or I reason it with them and tell them why that won't work, I am negative, lazy and all those things they thought before they told me. The dang experts are so impatient! lol They haven't the knowledge to actually talk intelligently with me on the arguments they are making, have no proof of anything except their word and expect me to believe and act on it or I am bad. Well, I will be bad, lazy... anything they want to categorize me as. I've done my homework. The similarity I see here is that someone came to teach us something, didn't bring any proof other than their word which was questionable from the start and then got upset because we just weren't getting it and didn't respond correctly. I do have to question the motive of that and why it matters so much? One answer could be that most of us are seen as disrespecting of certain kinks when actually we disrespect dangerous kinks and certain types of approaches. If someone came around and made some social greeting, made sense and talked of themselves and then as a conversation continued, kinks were brought up and scat were one of them, the reaction would be different. Maybe it's just Me, but I'm honestly not seeing the problem here. If I were in the OP's shoes, My only complaint would be that there's just too much mail to go through. As with any 'how many Dommes are into' threads, I think it's perfectly reasonable when people come forward and say that it is a hard limit. Even if the thread gets started as just a way to gauge an idea of how hard is it going to be to find a partner who is into kink X, the only way to actually get any good data is if both the 'for' and 'against' sides comment. Scat is by far not the only kink that folks will comment that it repulses them. CBT is a good distance up the popularity chain and it gets the same kind of comments. So does cutting, needles, and every other thing out there. As the saying goes, if it's kinky, somebody else out there likes that activity, too. The reverse is also true. If it's a kink of yours, it's guaranteed that somebody else will have very negative feelings about it. There are very legitimate health and safety concerns regarding this particular kink. Both in my personal experience and also through the boards, women hard limit, "you're ugly," "you're fat," etc. Even though they embrace "you're a cunt," and so on.
