I remember a long time ago. There was a rumor that Arabs used to break their kids' arms and legs so that they made better beggars, I have no idea if it's true.

What does this have to do with this ? Ask.

What you are probably thinking of is part of the storyline from the movie Slumdog Millionaire, which was set in India.

They blinded the beggar purpose in that movie.  To get more donations.

Not impossible, just not technical: alcohol affects the developing fetus and children differently than it affects adults for example.

Sorry, I was just being uber-technical. If something affects a fetus or child, it HAS affected the adult. Assuming survival of course.

I am quite suspicious of modern chemistry. Without even going into the plethora of prescription drugs, how many people put all kinds of things on their body and have no idea of what is in them ? What's in that shampoo ? The scalp is skin, skin absorbs things. What is it absorbing right above the brain ? Exhaustive studies of the possible effects are near impossible to perform properly. It's much better to keep things simple but you can only go so far. People just aren't into making lye soap.

In time discoveries may be made, but of course then they will be argued ad nauseaum.

It's hard to substantiate things anymore. The scientific folks don't completely agree, and do reverse themselves at times. The times when unsubstantited stories like in the alternative news sources are proven later to be correct come to mind. But there is another thing as well, someone mentioned that Jones has never retracted anything or admitted any error. This is of course impossible. Noone is 100 % right.

So now it's more logical to trust someone who has been known to be wrong ? It seems so.

Isn't it interesting that in the last few years there ARE THOUSANDS more gays then were before?

Alex Jones has guaranteed that 9/10's of us will all be dead within the next 10 to 15 years. What is the point in the government lowering the birth rate if most of us are guaranteed to to die?

90% decrease in the population.. guaranteed by Alex Jones.

How does the one jive with the other?

What is the purpose of lowering the birth rate when most of the population is going to die.. according to Jones?

You didn't answer my question.

You are dead, Hunky. Your whole family is dead. Alex Jones is dead and so is his family. Dead. He said so.

If man is going to be mostly extinct, what is the purpose of the government encouraging (via drugs in whatever delivery methods you think *they* ::the elite, I suppose:: are using) homosexuality to lower the birth rate?

Why bother? We're dead. It makes no sense.

""NWO Denier"! Thats a new one. Well at least its better than being another type of denier. lol "

Why ?

It’s simple. A denier is someone who denies what should be clearly evident. The Holocaust is evident. There are masses of evidence to prove a huge programme of genocide took place against the Jews and some other minorities to a lesser extent. Two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe perished. The Holocaust isn’t queried by innocently sceptical minds but haters with an agenda. The NWO doesn’t obviously exist to anyone unless they buy into all manner of bizarre conspiracy theories from very dubious sources which you obviously do even if you express support more obliquely than RO and PA.

George Bush Senior was US ambassador to the United Nations for two years in the early 70's. Linking him to some sort of NWO conspiracy because he was part of some family planning programme perhaps of questionable morality is not sufficient to re-evaluate pretty clear sentiments as expressed in his speech about a stronger UN.
It's a clue as to what he might mean by "credible".

I don’t think so. You can’t alter the obvious meaning of his words based on a single project he was a member of two decades earlier. I don’t know anything about the project in question but assuming a form of eugenics was included in the programme, then bear in mind this was also the case in some European countries up until the 1970’s. Like phrenology, eugenics was a respected part of science for a long time until it gradually became discredited several decades ago and is now regarded as unethical.

quote:

quote:

I really don't think so. Most conspiracy theories originate from two places principally: the far-right and far-left. The political fringes. They can be unhealthy places morally speaking.
Since when? It's a whole new world, PR wise, viral marketing, virtual networks updated in real time - these things did not exist for practical purposes 20 years ago, and it's changed and accelerated dramatically in the last Ten years, one cannot base assumptions on historical patterns, right wing philanthropies for example, spend huge amounts of money on this stuff, a lot of it comes out of AEI, it's straight up disinformation, and it's disseminated through the various media organs on the internet, the NRO, etc., radio and television, within hours, if not minutes.

Since when? For over one hundred years. The Internet is just a new tool that both the far right and far left use, most effectively I might add. They are one of the big winners of the Internet revolution.

quote:

quote:

People wheel and deal all the time. Many people are greedy and self serving. The same goes for organisations. Its an unfortunate part of human nature. Yes there is corruption and often a lack of transparency. Reality is messy. People are messy morally speaking. Same goes for some institutions all of which are human made. I can accept those points and question the morality of politicians etc. without going through the conspiracy theory portal of believing for example that the US government would willingly kill 3,000+ of its own people. This is a key point about conspiracy theorists. It is a re-orientating of one's perception of reality to become a conspiracy theorist. Such people look for it under every stone. Any lack of clarity, any contradiction spells evil intent, Goldman-Sacks and the NWO. That is a perverse paranoia where mere doubt can validate views. You should appreciate that there is a distinction between accepting that governments can be corrupt where conspiracy can happen, and allowing it to infuse entire worldviews. The latter is corrosive to society.

Lol, corruption is corrosive to society, free speech is all that stands between us and corruption, that is the purpose of the bill of rights, all of our freedoms are predicated on free speech, that, not the government, is the ultimate guarantor of your rights, of everyone's rights, it's worth the price of listening to a few rants - right wing conspiracy theories do real damage, Jones isn't telling anybody to kill people, he's not trying to overthrow the Constitution or the Bill of rights, he's ostensibly advocating enforcing it - unlike others I could, and have mentioned.

You seem to be implying I made points which I have not made. Of course free speech is important as is an open society and of course corruption is corrosive too. However, spreading fear where it is not warranted, seeing evil intent where it cannot be reasonably inferred has the potential to be hugely damaging to civil society even more so than corruption unless the latter is so severe that it gravely undermined the functioning of society in its totality. It’s not a matter of believing that conspiracies do sometimes happen. It is a matter of seeing them all the time, everywhere one looks. It is a fundamental re-orientation of perception.

Conspiracy theorists forward the view that the government is extremely evil. One of the biggest theories is 9/11. What conclusion does this theory forward: at will the institution that should protect its civilians can kill large numbers of the people it represents for no other reason than to start war. That is an assertion so beyond the pale in terms of reason that it’s an absurdity to even countenance. All they would have to do is invent having one of their ships and a couple of planes destroyed by a foreign force to invent cause to start a war. It would be far easier to do and essentially as effective. The thing is that if people truly believe their own government would cynically kill a huge number of innocents at will then trust breaks down to such an extent that all authority becomes the enemy. People would understandably pick up guns and an amass against this enemy. Some have to an extent with unofficial militias and heavily armed families often retreating into the back of nowhere. If such ideas became mainstream beliefs then the damage they could cause would be immense. It could destroy the country.

quote:

I think he comes up a bit short of messianic status, he's a shock jock, but like I said, he covers a lot of stories that get short, or no play in the mass media, more power to him.

His stories get little coverage in the mainstream media for good reason. Most are quite frankly nuts so no, definitely not “more power to him”. There needs to be more factual accountability for these people.

quote:

Sure, Conspiracies happens all the time, so what are you saying? Pretend it isn't there? If there are conspiracies, there will be conspiracy theories, you want to end conspiracy theories, end the conspiracies - not gonna happen, we'll have to keep limping along with all of it, one thing that doesn't change much is human nature.

I never implied we should pretend conspiracies never happen. It depends on what you mean by conspiracy. There is criminal conspiracy. That happens quite a lot. There are low level conspiracies that occur as a result of corruption, but that’s just people wishing to feather their nest rather than bring in grand plans covertly. There probably are higher level government conspiracies that do happen on occasion. Things like Watergate. It is the latter that conspiracy theorists see as happening all the time and they conflate it with corruption. Then they throw other elements into it such as fiendish desires to control or kill off the populace. They also integrate personal prejudice such as an unhealthy obsession over Jews. Now there is the internet this stuff can go viral which makes it extremely dangerous. Regardless of actual conspiracy, there will be conspiracy theories where there is radical doubt and certain kinds of hatred. We should encourage greater transparency and accountability in governance rather than going off the deep end and feverishly imagining the government is out to get us somehow.

quote:

"When the government is honest, the people are simple, when the government is corrupt, the people are devious".

--Chinese aphorism.

Well I don’t know how much stock to put in a Chinese aphorism but many who live under pretty good governance yet are very dissatisfied with it. Our perception is just as much a factor if not more so.

"It’s simple. A denier is someone who denies what should be clearly evident. The Holocaust is evident. "

I see. So those deniers are bad but other deniers are what ? Plus, I can't talk about the holocaust because I wasn't there, and it's very kind of you to assume that's what I meant. In one word. The word was "why". One word.

Well now, they have some buildings they found. All these people are dead, so how come so many are left ? Among these bad deniers are many of sound mind, even including a Catholic Bishop for what that's worth. I can deny global warming in Germany and not go to jail. But if I assert that population figures do not support the "fact" that six million Jews were killed, I would be in jail in Germany. Now according to the old people I have known, it's quite possible that six million were killed, but extremely unlikely that they were all Jews. But I'm not going to believe that the gas chambers were actually delousing stations anymore than I believe the published "facts".

I am in the US and I can say from what I've heard many Jews were killed. Millions, but a more realistic figure would be around two million. Hey, that doesn't make it alright and that is not what I'm saying at all. What I am saying is that you can't really believe much about history, it's not accurate anyway because the winners write the history. Even among the most honest, some bias must exist.

What do I believe ? My Grandfather read lips and as a Russina leader was on TV he said straight out "That is NOT what he said", asserting that the translation was false. Why would he lie ? European immigrants I've met told of things done there in the aftermath of WW2 that were blamed on the Germans, but were actually perpetrated by the Russians. Why would they lie ? OK, this might be third or fourth hand information, but just how pure do you think the fodder produced by the news media is ?

I will stipulate to the fact that Alex Jones is biased, a bit off base and a spin doctor. But that is not even anything like evidence that the controled media is fair and balanced, much less complete in their reporting. I read AFP at times. Not really often but I get to it once in a while. They have a very strong anti-government bias, that is evident. But there are things they report that are true. When they cite HR this or SB that, it is easily verified.

If you think this type of dissident speech should be quelled, for whatever reason, simply get a PAC up and get the representatives to ressurect HB4230. What kind of truth needs the force of law behind it ? You tell me. And tell all the Gypsies, Polaks, Ukrainians and others that there was no holocaust for them. That they don't count. They must be less dead somehow.

Back to the regularly scheduled "program".

Unless you come up with hard facts stating otherwise, out of 9 million Jews, six million died. That was 9 million European Jews. The total number killed of all races were set betwen 11 and 17 million. Why does it have a Jewish face? Because 2/3rds of a race were wiped out.

I would think that is pretty obvious.

Don't play innocent with me. There is obviously one kind of denier we associate with a certain event which was obvious to yourself or you wouldn't have even asked. Often you give out about the laws against denying the Holocaust so we both know exactly what you meant.

More than six million were killed in the Holocaust, Jews and non-Jews. The figure is roughly ten or so million in total. Great an English Catholic Bishop is a Holocaust denier, of sound mind apparently. He is a member of an extremist sect within Catholicism which directly blames Jews for the murder of Christ and don't the Catholics have a lovely record when it comes to treating the Jews well for a millennia?

First you say you don't know if it happened because you weren't there, then you say a more "realistic" figure is two million as if you are some sort of expert? Very strange! In Poland alone three million Jews were killed, the population going from 3.5 million in 1939 to a quarter of a million: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Poland#World_War_II_and_the_destruction_of_Polish_Jewry_.281939.E2.80.9345.29

How in Gods name were the Jews the winners? You are as other seem to do assuming they were the enemies of Nazi Germany. They weren't friends or enemies other than the fact Hitler wanted to do them in. They were victims, families with children butchered en masse. No victory there, dead is dead.

quote:

There you go with your "controled" (sic) media talk. The media in the West has the power to bring down governments and has done in the past. What is controlled about that?

I never said this sort of speech should be quelled but it should be robustly even aggressively challenged because it has the potential to be extremely dangerous. Funny how you seek to dilute tragedy of the Holocaust to the Jews. I also added that other minorities were killed, Gypsies mainly. However the Jews were Hitler's number one target. Three million Polish Jews died and three million non-Jewish Poles during world war two. Approximately 400,000 of the latter died in concentration camps. Most died during war, the resistance, in slavery where huge numbers were transferred to Germany and in genocide under the Soviet forces. They were not singled out for extermination with nearly the same intensity.

Lovely sentiments there PA but let Termy go apeshit if he wants. I promise not to report him but I insist that any communication must be on the forum not through CM-Mail or it would just be a waste of my time.

Of course he was "playing innocent", whether or not he can argue well. He has gone on about Holocaust denial quite a bit, even last week on another thread which was unrelated to the topic.
