As many have already said, no, a dishwasher isn't good enough to properly sterilize equipment. If you REALLY want to make sure your metal and glass equipment has been properly sterilized, use an autoclave. I used to work in a bio lab, and ALL our equipment went through the process before it was used. I would also NEVER go to a tattoo artist (yes, considering getting a tat) that didn't reply "autoclave" to the question "What do you use to sterilize your equipment?" Just not gonna take the risk, and not all studios carry an autoclave. Many, however, do. To the OP, most pro dommes won't have sex with you, because to do so would be illegal (excluding a few select counties in Nevada). However, you do want to make sure their equipment has been properly sterilized and you may want to bring your own insertables. Ask lots of questions to make sure the domme you use is worth the money and is professional about her practice...in other words, make sure she makes customer satisfaction, and therefore safety, her top priority. There are plenty of pros out there. If the first few you ask don't seem ready and up front with detailed answers on safety, just go find a different one. To RawTape: I can certainly say that a BDSM oriented forum on CM was the last place, outside of my textbooks, where I expected to see the word "prion." I must commend you, Sir, for uping the nerd standards of this forum.
