MissToYouRedux -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:37:43 PM)

Hi...

So you guys were able to update your password as instructed and access your account again?
I'm afraid to do anything for fear that someone's trying to hack my acct.

VideoAdminRho -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:46:03 PM)

Please change your password as the page requests. It is a legitimate request from CM.

Ron90069 -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:46:16 PM)

My first thought was phishing, especially seeing the typo: "...by filling out the from below..." instead of FORM.

THAT made me rather concerned. Fortunately I could get here to the forums without entering a new p/w.

it's cm updating their system.

Someone isn't trying to hack your account....

.............or are they?

HannahLynHeather -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:48:43 PM)

maybe i'm  just fucking paranoid but that was my first thought, it might be a hack. that's why i asked for confirmation by the mods.

Spats -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:49:03 PM)

Thank you! Will do.

MissToYouRedux -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:49:15 PM)

I updated my password as requested, and then before I logged off, I re-set my account with a new one. *Then* I signed out and could sign back on with my new-er password.

CynthiaWVirginia -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:49:48 PM)

I got this page too, right when I was sending in a new journal entry.  I punched in the code first, and when it went to send, that's when I saw the update pasword notice.  I updated and then saw my journal entry had not been posted.

Good thing I copy each one in case I do not get those whacky letters right.  It took me half a dozen times but I finally got my journal entry posted.

Now to go offline for some pizza and bing cherries...oh, and I am re-watching season one of Heroes on DVD.  G'night all.

One more thing...I will take the moderator's word for it, but this is the only "change password" form that doesn't require you type your new p/w a second time for confirmation/typos.

The typo in the password request is being fixed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

The field is in plain, visible text. You only have to confirm if the field is masked.

Ron90069 -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 10:58:44 PM)

:) trust me...I have the ability to make typos in plain sight...

Now, if only my "New Local Users" button would turn off after I've checked them out...

peppermint -> RE: password update?? (8/4/2011 11:28:13 PM)

for weeks i haven't been able to sign out of my account on the other side.  now, after doing the new password thing, i can't sign in.  even had new password mailed to me just in case i did a typo.  guess i'll be writing support so i can get to my mail.

oops...link in email to get to support won't work.  now how do i get there since i can't log into the other side?

switching to IE seems to solved problem. dang..i'd rather use mozilla

Glad to hear that it's not just me.  Weird thing is, I have that problem with my desktop but not if I access the site on my phone.
