Women now in this time must be strong! There are many whom are rasing children alone!
There is nothing wrong with a strong woman, it does not mean she is a bitch, but I know when
a woman is mad she is a bitch and it is even worst when your an minor! If she wants to make a point
or just state an opinion she is a bitch, but the males are being man, wow that sound really great! I adore men
I am not a hater of men, but give the women a break, and oh hell yes I love being a dominant woman! I do
not push anyone around, it is not about that it is about the control and how you use it!

In my post on page 14, AGREEMENT really is the keyword here, and I wouldn´t want to force ALL/any women into this kind of arrangement if the didn´t want it!
This far NONE of the women in relationship with me, has had any problems at all with this arrangement, they´ve been looking for it themselves...

i have to agree with this question. women fixed things in the past, too, and historically, women were in charge of the hearth and home, or they actually cooked over the hearth, so they were usually the firemakers, not the men.

i agree with crazyml with regards to the context of the time -- times change and some things become unnecessary. times may change again, and those things become necessary again. that's typical of human development. i don't think men are disenfranchised from being manly because i don't think "manliness" is necessarily encapsulated in a few actions. like i said in another thread, even a man who likes going to the theatre and writing poetry can have a very strong masculine presence -- it's energy. the definition isn't totally in what you do, but how you are.

I think men can do pretty much anything and have a strong masculine presence. With the exception of "singing show tunes". Which really does mean that you're as gay as a maypole.

Let's face it, we know a bloke when we trip over one. He'll be a different creature to each and everyone of us..but he'll be a *bloke* to us and hell be a mixed bag.

Years ago, my neighbour was a herdsman, he could round up the cows with his dog, kick the shit out of a fiesty bad tempered bull, nip home for a spot of lunch, change his little daughters nappy, gently feed his toddler while watching football on tv, cradling his baby in his arms at the same time and then prepare the supper if need be.

He always made the Xmas cake, spending weeks dripping it with brandy and competing with me for the best recipe.

He was out in all weathers, dragging wood home in the winter, chain-sawing it into rings and spent hours splitting those with an inch of snow on his head.

He'd then spend hours building a princess bed for his elder daughter complete with all his own designed pink decorations.

He spent hours on his garden, he grew the most fab flowers. I was always in his wake.

The only thing we ever were at loggerheads about was, surprisingly, the fact that my 3yr old son wanted Barbies Walking Horse for Xmas one year , and Gymnast Barbie to ride it. He thought that was a bit *gay* ....LOL. In fact he was quite uncomfitable about it.

I remember pointing out that HIS daughter was OUR son's only playmate and a year younger at 2yrs. It was Barbie and her bitches, or play with his baby brother who generally detroyed all his carefully constructed games with a leggy giraffe, while cooing * Dinosaur, Roarrrrrrr!!*.

The only part of him that made me cringe was HIS cringing at our little son doing *girly* things and not understanding why. It just hightlighted his own fear of girliness in chaps.

While he had a firm grip of what made a man a man, he couldn't translate that to the children without difficulty.

All very interesting.

Now my Barbie toting son has just left home and appears unscarred by his experiences as a side-kick to an older gal......despite the home vids of him wearing frilly bathing suits with wellington boots and making his Action-Man wear Ken clothes.
