OP, I completely agree with you. I think it's hilarious to say there was change for a good reason. Sometimes change comes about for ignorant reasons. Right now, I can think of one timely example. Obama is change alright, but very bad change. Why was he elected? Because the MSM was in his hip pocket (they luv socialism!), the economy took a dive at precisely the right time for folks to be open to a different kind of candidate, et cetera etc etc. As for feminism, I've read 3 or 4 books about Gloria Steinem. Every one of them details the neglect she suffered in childhood due to her father's grevious failures. It is pure stupidity to re-engineer society based upon one person's failure to have a good childhood, yet that is what Steinem was all about. She still hasn't faced what her childhood did to her, although she pretends to have decided it was of minimal effect. And we all pay. Not to mention, unborn children who have been aborted, thanks to her tireless efforts in support of abortion. GS

LOL Girlieslut, with one post and a hidden profile... your historical knowledge is faulty. Women fought for a vote and rights long before Gloria and believe it or not, not all of us follow that wench. Women's rights were not because of one woman.

In this day and age when 2 paychecks are needed to pay the bills, most men would be out of work. Yep, since if we went back to the way things were 50 years ago it would be legal to hire a woman at $1.50 an hour to do a job that they would pay $5.00 an hour for a man to do. Without equality do you really think a company in this day and age would pay you 3 times the wages if they could get a woman to do it cheaper?

I really dont give a monkeys uncle one way or another honestly Zeph, the timing is just too perfect and her lack of knowledge regarding womens rights and her other arguments are poor. I know not everyone is into feminism and I have no problem with it, personal choice, but at least be against it for a decent reason. Not just because Gloria is The ONE and ONLY TWUE feminist and she got fucked over/.
