"Fat threads" generate many responses because it affects so many, even if not directly.

Nothing is off topic here, apart from being spiteful and rude.

SO, as many people dislike it when the person that begins the thread doesn't give out upfront.........

I watched a programme last night about fat people. Very large but gorgeous ladies. It was an American programme and I can't remember the title (sorry).

It highlighted for me, the many aspects of being *fat*. They had their own dances, their own clubs where they could just be happy being the way they were. It was a bit sad that they hid themselves away. They had a pageant and the ladies were just amazingly gorgeous. I really mean STUNNING.

Now, being 54yrs old,  I couldn't ever compete with a beautiful slim young lady, and also not with a beautiful fat young lady......All I have is all I am.

Could I just share a point of view that is far less heard............. I'm slim, normal, average......but I don't have a nice round bum.  I'm slim hipped and broad shouldered with DD boobs .....no matter what I do I can't get a nice round bum. I can get all muscley if I want to but that doesn't make me anything other than a more muscley person with a small arse.

I'll always have big tits too...they aren't GG  like when I was breast-feeding and my nipples still point upwards. But some of us really don't want big tits, even if it was the most attractive trait ever, physically!

I'd like a plumpy bum because it looks really pleasing to me, attractive. BUT I'm not prepared to do what it takes to BUILD a bigger bum ( quite a lot if it's got little fat) I can't do squats ad finitum as I have bursitis of the hips (probably due to running, ANY helpful hints on that would be appreciated btw)

So body shape, body hints, things that help, tips and advice.........(not surgical)

Ok, so can we , for once, just talk about it? Any takers?

See its easy to poke fun at the larger people but I have yet to meet a woman who doesnt want something different be they thin fat tall short whatever, maybe we need to work harder on appreciating the way we already are rather than wishing to be something else because I am pretty sure nothing will be perfect when we are all so critical.

Me personally I'll use surgery as my last resort lol. I'm not averse to such things heh and yeah I'm actually looking into a few nips and tucks in the near future. If you are able to have it available to you why not use it.

i wish i had a longer body -- not necessarily to be taller, because being short is fun. but a longer torso, longer neck, perhaps shorter legs. hahaha
i also do want to be slimmer -- i don't believe being skinny is the only way to be attractive, but FOR MYSELF, i would just rather be slimmer. i'd like to trim down some thigh without losing butt, and trim down the rest, without losing boob =p
i mean, even when i was smaller, i've always been the same basic shape. so i don't think i really will lose either of those things -- i think it's just an excuse i make.

really, when you haven't been thin, and you want to work on it, sometimes it's scary to think about losing weight and becoming "someone else" -- i was a lot smaller in high school, but i thought i was fat back then, too. =p it would be weird to change that perception around entirely.
but i lost one 30 lb chunk, i can lose another. aaaaand maybe another.

the butt thing is wierd -- when you're brown, people expect that you have a really ridiculous hiney, and i feel like mine is pretty average. =p i think sometimes it's a letdown if someone was expecting something more stereotypical. =p i imagine it's that way for a black guy without a BBC. haha
some of the chicks i talk to, though, feel like they aren't "real" without a bigger but, so they furiously gain weight and try different products to grow it. =p

supposedly maca root will help you grow a booty; it's "all the rage" on the "i need more curves!" circuit. it's also generally considered to have few, if any, bad side effects, so you could try it and see if it worked?

This is very much about NOT poking fun. At all. About anyone. For anything physical!.......... Forget the larger ladies. It could be big tits, small cocks,  broad shoulders, skinny thighs, fat ankles, lumpy bits, grumpy bits, hairy eyebrows, short eyelashes.....Need I go on?...ANYTHING.

Maybe we SHOULD do all sorts of things, but as we don't tend to, let's give a helping hand and maybe we will.

I know what you mean. I love the way a long torso looks, there is something just so sleek about it. Ah well I have what I have.

I recently tried laser body sculpting on my thighs. I won a gift certificate with a plastic surgeon, and that is what I used it for. I did lose a half inch after 3 treatments, so there does seem to be something to it. I don't know if i will continue with it or not though. Other than that, I work with a personal trainer, and accept myself as I am.

If you want a big arse you need to squat heavy. Girls can't get big and muscled, the only place where they can really pack on mass is the upper legs and glutes.

No other exercise builds glutes like squats. But most women are effort-averse so they waste their time on the stairmaster.

Since we are talking about things other than weight, I also have had great results with Botox. I want to try rejuvaderm but I am still researching it.

my thighs and glutes are already pretty muscley. i actually just wish my butt was a little softer. =p haha; it's pretty firm.
i think doing all the exercises for glute shimmies is the reason for that.

i did notice that it got a little better when i first lost the weight because i guess there was reduced density of chub? i dunno. so maybe after the next round, it'll be closer to what i want? hahaha

I would love to be at 99 lbs again someday...working on it. Would love to get ride of some extra skin...surgery in the near future after I get the rest of the weight off. Still debating on whether to get the little Slavic nose bump removed...kinda like that it's my family nose but absolutely hate the way it looks....a butt lift, laser hair removal so I won't have to be bothered anymore with that little chore, tat removal for a couple tats that are just not what they used to be, botox for those annoying little wrinkles on the forehead and crows feet and hair extensions because I'm friggin tired of my baby fine, thin hair.

Now..I just need more money to accomplish them all.

ETA: Another breast lift. Had them reduced and lifted about 12 years ago...gravity has a way though of reversing that again lol.

grins...... you want to be everything you're not in the ideal world .Me too.........lol

Yes, I hadn't ever been anything but a rather slim person until I was in my 30's and was on pregnancy No3..., shortly after that No4. A fat few years followed.

I got VERY fit a year ago and my boobs left home. M didn't notice a thing (rolls eyes)  Mind you, either he's a total twerp, or he REALLY likes me........LOL

The big black bum here is described as the *bubble but* (not an expert myself) I think it's the ultimate in arses! And NO, I'll never have that bouncy, radiant bum.......lol

You made a very good point about self perception there. I didn't EVER recognise myself in the mirror when I was plump.....my mind didn't really get to grips with it. I still saw a slim person in a fat *outer*.

I'm annoyingly *real*( what else IS there??).... with a slim/smallish/muscley arse, but thanks for that tip! If gaining a bit of flesh on my arse could be achieved with a supplement then it'd be all good!  I'll pop in to my local Holland and Barrett, though it might be a bit of a rarity in southern UK......lol

It would be nice to have adjustable breasts.
I'm a b cup and I'm generally fine
with that but sometimes I wish they were
bigger. It would be great to be able
to spill out of some sexy lingerie.
Big boobs at night but when you wake
up the next morning you're back to your
b's.
I don't like my nose and once went to a
plastic surgeon but she discouraged me
from surgery. It is a lot of pain and few
things look worse than a bad nose job.
I'm not wild about having a lot of elective
surgery, there are always risk.
I would love to have laser removal.
It would be great to not have to
shave my legs or under my arms.

haha exactly; that's how it is. =p curlies want to be straight, straights want to be curly. =p
sometimes i just feel like i'm a pile of parts too close together sat on top of legs that are just a little too long for the rest of me. they aren't "long" because none of me is =p but compared to the proportions of the rest of me, they are.
my late Fella was giving me a massage once and said "you're like 2/3's ass and legs" hahaha =p
i actually really didn't even notice it until then, aaaand getting into belly dance and long-bodied dancers like Rachel Brice set the bar -- a sidewinder won't look the same on a short-bodied person as it does on a long-bodied person.

the smallest i've ever been was around 130 lbs, which was at the upper limit of what is considered "normal" for my height, but i think if i got any smaller, i'd just look terrible, because of how i'm built.
but i'm a reasonable distance from that where i know i can get back to that weight again, without doing much more work than i've done the last couple of months, since now i've proven to myself that i CAN do it. =p
taking some advice from blacksword in the "biggest loser" thread, i'm going to try to hack away at it over fall/winter/spring, and see where i'm at in the summer.

i personally don't think there's anything wrong with people customizing themselves as they see fit. the only time it's bad is when it comes out of some sort of mental illness. if you want fake boobs, get fake boobs. =p
at the same time, though, i wish more people (myself included) could be more accepting of whatever flaws they have. especially if they're things that you can't change, like a short torso!

That's funny to me when you say you don't like your B cups. When I was a 38DD I had mine reduced to a 34B. I absolutely loved them. I never felt so amazing about myself. I'm more of a C cup now. Blah. I want my B back.

You're wrong in some ways there......... I am and can be a squat queen. I build muscle like a man...but squatting fucks with bursitis in the hips.  So does Kettle bells ( (I love kettle bells too). SO. if you have a cure or tip for making squats work with that I'm am all ears.  It's been a real trial for a year , so please do help if you have expertise or knowledge.

I'm about to rejoin my bodypump class, despite the bursitis , I know it involves lots of squats but my trainer knows that I'll only stop when I know I'll be fucking myself for next time.

I can make upper body mass........bi's, tri's lat's and back. I build muscle in quite a male way.

Well, a stairmaster will tone an arse!.....it won't be the best thing to BUILD one.

I have no idea what a Glute Shimmie is! But it sounds like a dancing move.

Chub is the word I'm adopting for my little podgy bits.

Crumbs, I wasn't expecting all the serious stuff like botox.  So what did the botox do, and what were the *great results* and even though I'm in the UK, where costs just do not compare.....for the US folk, what was the cost-ish?
