Ending the attempts to avoid plastic containers and cheapening the products themselves. Shrinking the packaging sizes slightly (example, a 6.5oz became 6.1oz) while raising the price. Using less expensive ingredients and calling it, 'new and improved'.

In my investigation I found that they can still say of course, 'natural' ingredients because petroleum based products are natural. However, the reality is that few people that read 'natural' will think petroleum based products.

When I contacted the company about my dismay at the change in my favourite products, how they stunk, I was ignored. Another customer that was voicing the same thing got a form reply.....We, here at Burt's Bees value our customers and their opinions as we strive to make our products.......yada yada yada. Worthless shit.

Same old story of a really great small company, getting bought up by a big corporation and the original product line being trashed.

So, if there are any other Burt's Bees customers looking for a replacement. I have found a company called Upper Canada Soap Company. Their Naturally line has some really great body products I've tried. I found it locally in the health food section of a grocery here in Iowa City. But if it's not available locally, it is available on Amazon.
