Zimmerman called 9-1-1 saying "he's on drugs or something", which means Zimmerman had REASON TO BELIEVE that Trayvon Martin COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.

Why would a reasonable and prudent person leave his place of safety, his vehicle, against the advice of a professional to pursue someone he had reason to believe might be dangerous?

Remember, it's not about Zimmerman actively breaking the law, Zimmerman's negligence is good enough to satisfy a Manslaughter charge. And I see negligence aplenty!

I absolutely believe this is what happened.

It's also pretty clear that is was NOT 1st or even 2nd degree murder.

I think it will be quite difficult to get a jury to even come in with manslaughter conviction.

HOWEVER....

Zimmerman may see prison on Federal charges for violating Martin's civil right as the Fed's did to Limerick Nelson after he was acquitted of killing Yankel Rosenbaum.

How can the person chasing Trayvon Martin 'be approached', when he's the one in pursuit of Trayvon Martin?

Either Trayvon Martin is running away from an unknown assailant, or Trayvon Martin is STANDING HIS GROUND against an unknown assailant.

I think it would be awesome to get two NRA "stand your ground" supporters to both come and meet me at the same address on the same day, while giving each of them the description of the other as my appearance.
Anyone wanna bet no one would be shot by the end of it?

I think we can just disregard Zimmerman's statements given then numerous inconsistencies with established facts, and concentrate on the uncontested facts, which are sufficient for charging manslaughter, specifically 1) Trayvon Martin is dead and 2) George Zimmerman killed him, either through act or negligence.

Anything else he has to say, he can say to a judge in his Motion to Dismiss.

The injuries which clearly fail to sustain his claim of fearing Great Bodily Harm or Death. They were so trivial, the EMTs didn't even sent him to the ER for a cat scan or stitches or x-rays or anything. And given today's liability landscape, there's NO WAY the EMTs wouldn't send him to the ER as a precaution with even the slightest indication.

So, anything we need to consider, needs to consider the negligible injuries sustained, and how they don't justify deadly force against an unarmed victim again pointing us toward "Charge, and let a Judge sort this out while everyone is under oath"
