more on topic, don't go on a diet, they are generally bad for you. You need to change your lifestyle. Make the choice not to eat too much, make the choice to eat healthily and make the choice to exercise more. You have to make those choices, and when you do you will see a difference, not overnight, but gradually. Those differences will make a change to your self esteem too hopefully, it's a virtuous circle, not the viscious circle you are currently in. There is loads of info out there, weight watchers is pretty good, but basic common sense is good too. More fruit and veg, less processed food, less chocolate and snacks. But mainly you have to just go for it and do not give up after a few weeks because ot's too hard or nothing seems to be happening. Good luck
