I was actually going to suggest a mentor. I would think that her area would have a pretty good sized community.

TNDommeK -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 10:34:39 AM)

That would be a great idea. It would also help her in other areas that she may not be familiar with.

Edited for: LP don't laugh but I have no idea what ETA means. And those are great ideas for her.

LadyPact -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 10:38:00 AM)

Psssst.....  It means "edited to add".

You guys, Lily has a point. I read her questions on the other thread. I gave her what I thought was good advice. You have to start somewhere and I would want to make sure I was doing things safely. And what better way than to ask people who have experience? No harm that I see. I would rather her ask opinions of more experienced people than to think she already knows everything and seriously hurt someone.

On to Dink, . . . sorry, not wasting my time on the dink person.

Edited to add: By the way, good morning to all.

I think TN is right.

Lily, as I went about my various errands and chores this morning, I thought about exactly why you were getting so much guff when you really did just ask for advice. My thoughts are that you hit the "things that bug this forum" trifecta.

1) Looking for the Reader's Digest Condensed Version (and yes LadyP I *am* stealing er borrowing that phrase) of how to do kink. When you have over 30 years experience as I do, I look at someone trying to learn how to ball bust over the internet as well, lame.

2) Getting paid to do clips or in person sessions when you don't know what you are doing. Now, most of us have no issues with good pros who know their stuff. There are several current pros and past pros who bring a wealth of great experience to the info table here on this board. The thing is, everyone of them earned their chops. We don't like clueless doms trying to make money who don't know enough to dom themselves out of a paper bag (note, I am not saying that is you, I'm saying you inadvertently got tarred with that brush).

AND 3) The whole learning via online thingy gets old fast here. Most of us have many years of real time experience. I'm not saying you can't learn online or that this is not a good place to learn, it is. But for some things, and ball busting is one of them, there are no nifty shortcuts. You need real time experience.

It's my opinion that Lily's held her own quite nicely. Yeah, you do have to start somewhere, and at my age it's easy to forget that. Soooooooooo I might give you tons of snark (I'm not the Sizzling Spitfire for nothing) but if you approach me right, I will do my best to help.

ETA (Sometimes I can't resist) The Ogirl's advice about a mentor is spot on.

Yes I would say she has quite held her own. Very nicely and classy too I might add.

LP thank you so very much, that saves time for Me having to type out "editing to add". I'm slow I know lol.

I never thought about the trifecta....but you're right, we do have it.

I agree Lilly has behaved in a manner which shows grace.

PrincessLily91 -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 11:30:43 AM)

Thank you you for the kind words. :)

I guess I can kind of see what you mean. I probably should have been more clear about my intentions and background. I don't consider myself a pro, and was looking to learn more about what I am doing before I start taking money and scheduling "sessions". My intended message was that guys were approaching me wanting to "pay to play" and it is tempting, but I don't know what I am doing that sense and wanted to learn first. A mentor might just be the answer. Or books. But that's where ther advice was supposed to come in...like how do I find a mentor? does it cost? Are there books you reccommend? I don't mind doing research, hard work, or earning my chops...I just don't know where to start per se.

I love my sub, we are very close. And the clip thing was something HE wanted to do for a while. I wasn't sure, so we agreed to try filming at least once and if I enjoyed it we'd continue. I foiund that I enjoyed it a lot. I got my best friend into it with us. It was a fun one to explore and have have a good time doing it. The clipstore is an extension of that. Other people can share our fun, suggest new things or ideas we haven't tried and so on. And yes we make a little money on it, but I don't feel that is quite as irresponcible? I mean it's mostly roleplay and people are paying to see these scenarios play out and getting what they came to see. Which is a far cry from the OP of this thread who was talking about girls who make a wishlist and act bitchy and consider themselves instantly on top and think thier realationship with subs has to all be about hate. It's all about money to them, and that isn't the case for me...the very first thing my sub taught me was that under all the kink there is underlying principles you have to understand. It's a relationship, these are real people, and the exchange of power should come with trust and respect for both parties. And of course....you should enjoy it too. :)

It might have been better had I not mentioned the subs wanting to pay at all, I didn't realiaze what it implied. I am sory I pushed the wrong buttons, but am glad I didn't just blow up and leave the board as some good advice finally came from it. :)

Ill celebrate with you on that note, as you see My sig line states "two paddles!!!". But it seems I have been in paddle land forever (as someone warned Me when I got My first one).

MissKittyDeVine -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 1:45:45 PM)

Am I the only one who had an anti-prodomme/findomme rant message from dink (I doubt it)? That could be construed as a personal attack. Messages like that don´t affect me, so you did waste your time ... we get it, FD ain´t your kink, give it a rest.

Oh, and there are plenty of people here (including those not into FD) who don´t agree with you.

TNDommeK -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 2:31:22 PM)

No I think he has commented on every FD post. Bless his heart. (Oh that last statement is how we southern folk say "what a dumbass") [:)]

Financial dommes are not real dommes. They never have been. They never will be. They can be easily (VERY easily) controlled by money. I can lead them just about anywhere with my wallet, so they are under my complete control. The idea that they're "dommes" is laughable. They're just greedy chicks, at best, and many are men pretending to be greedy chicks. Jerking them around so they think they're going to make money off you is amusing. But in the end they're just low-life bottom feeders.

Damn, dink22... it's a shame you can't drop your attitude for a moment.
Your attitude overshadows any valid facets/points you are attempting to make.

The Truth is that many people can be easily controlled by money (regardless of age, race, sex, creed or Orientation).

So dink22, you can lead them just about anywhere with your wallet, and they are under your complete control? WOW, this alone speaks volumes of your own personal character. Fuck. Seriously does not sound very submissive... and if anything, screams of playing games with other people.

So you get off on jerking people around too? "Jerking them around so......is amuzing" I bet the middle part of that sentence is interchangeable. It makes one wonder if you make posts to the message board to jerk people around...because it's amusing as well. You truly give people a lot to consider and wonder about your character. Seriously.

I find this kind of mindset, truly ugly and undesirable. Not appealing, not attractive, not a good quality. (Do you believe this is very appealing to other people?)

Damn dink22, you yourself undermine any valid points you have to add to the message boards. You keep shooting your own-self in the foot with you own attitude.

This is the repeating pattern, I'm seeing in your posts.

Whiplashsmile4 -> RE: Young "Financial Dommes" (5/31/2012 4:26:54 PM)

I feel PrincessLily91 is a refreshing breath of air on the message board. On many levels too.

Some people are extremely against Financial Domination. I myself know what it's like to feel
the animosity. The down side, this animosity has occurred in the real time face to face way.

It's actually rather fucked up, but generally speaking Men are supposed to be the ones buying
women drinks, giving money or even giving up their last cigarette.

It's amazing when acquaintances who don't understand the dynamics between too people
get up on a high-horse and shove their nose into what's going on.

"Dude, WTF is wrong with you? You don't treat women like this..(blah Blah Blah)"

Then their mind is blown away, when both of us are telling them to back the fuck down.

"WTF is wrong with both of you?"

How would you prove a fake, seems every online finanical domme gets called a fake.

If you dont understand something either dont comment or go learn about it. I have recieved death threats and all sorts of losers who dont understand what financial domination is. Fair enough if its not your fetish but dont tell other people they are wrong etc I actually think its 'light hearted' than many of the other things.

How would you feel about a male financial domme?

To those who say that online dommes are fake or wannabes etc, I guess it depends which way you look at it. I read an article a while ago and it bascially summed up how I feel about the whole thing. Being a real life domme for many online dommes would feel like they were being submissive just by having to meet with the people. There are many submissives who do not want to meet in real life or even show their faces due to many reasons. There is a market for everything.
Do what feels right for you whichever you are.

There are fakes in real life, not just the internet.

Do yourself a favor though and change your profile pic. The loser sign has been out of fad for a while now. Just a piece of advice. Take it or leave it.

Do take that advice he just gave you. The pic you have with your face close to the camera is very nice.

Those shots and flipping the middle finger is so played out.

Lily - minimally, change your avatar here on the discussion side where the loser sign might incline people to take you less seriously.

A 'real' dom/me does not care what random internet people think.

When I was living with R, he used my paycheck for our joint expenses. I got off on this for a while, until we started going to swing clubs, which I rapidly grew to abhor. I ended our financial dynamic after 8 months, and would not enter into another one. It's not right for me, but I don't knock it for anyone who bears in mind to never give up control of money that you cannot afford to lose.
