ORIGINAL: tweakabelle Sanders said: "the wealthiest 400 individuals own more wealth than the bottom half of America - 150 million people. Today, the six heirs to the Wal-Mart fortune own more wealth than the bottom 30 percent. Today, the top one percent own 40 percent of all wealth, while the bottom sixty percent owns less than 2 percent. Incredibly, the bottom 40 percent of all Americans own just 0.3 percent of the wealth of the country." Sanders listed a set of key priorities that includes creating jobs to repair America's crumbling infrastructure, providing health care for all Americans, strengthening Social Security, blocking cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, and making the wealthy and profitable corporations pay their fair share to reduce the deficit." Why is this being reported as news and not as common sense? Cus its intelligent, factual, honest, and a few good ideas? The exact opposite viewpoint of most conservatives in this country. They would rather the infrastructure to crumbe and break, resulting in money being spent on repairs and replacements across quite a number of fuctions (i.e. canals, highways, bridges, pipelines, etc). More money spent on those things, less money spent else where (like health care, education, police, etc). They dont want to pay taxes yet require the most out of civil and public sectors on a daily basis. Its much like someone that orders food, eats it and leaves without paying the bill. Why should they have to pay for a bridge they use only once in a great while? Mr. Sanders has some really good ideas and few points. I dont agree with everything he states, but I can understand the reasoning behind the statements. Unlike the Republicans whom really dont care what happens to America as long as the 1% controls everything within five years.
