You might want to point out that gays are allowed to be married in most European countries, and so far no hurricanes or major earth quakes. Additionally if god is so almighty, why would he need hurricanes that hit FL and New Orleans? Would he just send hurricanes that kill gays and the people who allow them?

the bubonic plague was punishment for bad hygiene

also isn't the south way more conservative, it's not like katrina hit NYC's Grenich Village or San Frantastic-o

haven't heard of one natural catastrophe in palm springs(other then the regular weather and that taky palm tree theme,soo 80s), and that place is gay as pink sparkly anal ink

I definitely see a conflict regarding the claims that the world is only 6000 or 7000 year old.

However, I do not see a conflict between believing in creationism and evolution, which is what I stated. You appear to be assuming that everyone who believes in creationism also believes that the world is only 6,000 or 7,000 years old. Not everyone who believes in creationism believes in these numbers.

The bible doesn't give a number. It's pretty silent on how long the Earth or cosmos have been around. Which is why I made my statement in response to SpaceSpunk in order to understand why some Christians would see a conflict.

Edit: From my experience, not all Christians take the bible literally.

We are not directly referencing creationism. We're talking about creationists.

Which are a subset of Christians that do, by definition, believe the world to be very much younger that just about any scientific or empirical evidence would suggest.

simpler origins, and man and dinosaur didn't

The whole trope of Bible as lucky number book intrigues me. Is it really like those dream books that give you lottery numbers and tell you what the vision of flying past your cousin Loreta's garden means? If we release some trained canaries onto a set of bible verses, what would we discover?
