There is no medical reason for circumcision on an otherwise healthy penis.
Worldwide, religious reasons is the norm.
In the US, after the 70's it became a cultural thing, now is declining.
The American Academy of Pediatrics stated in 2000 that there is no evidence of any benefit derived from circumcision, leaving the decision to the ethnic, religious, or cultural practices of the parents.
