I was in the full presence of God. While I was in the full presence of God my heart was not filled with hate. Naturally, are we not to hate the devil? The answer is no. I was filled with love. I loved her.

What should have been in the heart of the President was love for his country. Love for his ambassador. Love for his consolate. Such love does not imply hatred of the enemy, however.

Verily was I in the presence of God.

In my opinion there is ample evidence to make the following claim: When Rev. Wright said, "God damn America!" Obama meant it. I hereby charge Barack Hussein Obama with infidelity. More specifically, I am charging him with breaking his oath of office.

Too bad that I am not a member of Congress. It would have been a great speech. No doubt I would have been accused of being a simpleton who has no real grasp of law.

What about the sexual infidelity of former President Bill Clinton? First of all this is a matter of state in a direct sense whereas that was a matter of state in an indirect sense. His capacity to be unfaithful to his wife was suggestive, but not conclusive. This also includes the charge that was made against him for perjury since the question that was asked him had no direct bearing.

What pray tell is mnottertail's hidden message? Hmm.

quote:

Lots of people in this land of ours are huge Jimi Hendrix fans. To be honest with ye, I'm not. Yes, he made one phenomenal and groundbreaking rock and roll record and for that he deserves his rightful place in the history of popular culture, but aside from that one album, he really didn't do all that much.

Oh, I mean besides revolutionizing the use of an electric guitar. I mean besides that.

Oh, okay, he revolutionized the use of the electric guitar; he coaxed weird frightening feedback noises out of it the likes of which fellow genius Peter Townshend had only umm... I guess attempted to make. And for that I am grateful. But he also wanked around on that thing an awful lot, and, as much as I love a crazy guitar noise, I can do without blues-based wankin'. It's just not my personal cup of tea (which, while we're on the topic, also isn't my cup of tea. I forkin' HATE tea, and down south where I grew up, that's all they ever give you!!! Fork 'em in the nnnn!!!!!). But that's just my take on Jimi Hendrix. I'm not knockin' the guy; I'm just saying he sucked.

Just kiddin' ya! No sir, let me cut to the chase and stop pussyfooting around the subject - okay, I'll just come out and say it. Although I would be hard pressed to come up with a guitarist more creative and influential than Mr. Hendricks (aside from maybe Eddie Van Halen, but he borrowed a lot from Jimi too, just like everybody did), he honestly wasn't the greatest songwriter in the world, in my opinion. Like I said, a lot of people worship the guy, but aside from that killer debut album, most of his tuneage was a bit iffy at best. Good voice, though. He hated it, but I think he sounded really cool. He sang like a rock'n'rollah!!!! So add all the hate mail you want, but that's my opinion. Jimi Hendrix was an incredibly important guitarist and fine singer, but something of a limited songwriter, if you ask me.

I apologize for approaching the topic like a scared little kitty cat, but it's really hard to criticize a legend, ...

http://www.markprindle.com/hendrixa.htm

Also from the same web page. It was originally in all caps.

quote:

AT THE AGE OF 54, I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO AND PLAYING HENDRIX MUSIC A LONG TIME.

AND OVER THE YEARS, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT SLOWLY DAWNED ON ME WAS JUST HOW GOOD OF A SONG WRITER JIMI HENDRIX ACTUALLY WAS.

AS A LEAD GUITARIST, THAT WAS ALSO A WRITER, IN TERMS OF IMAGINATION AND CREATIVITY, HE STANDS UNEQUALED IN MY OPINION.

IT SEEMS A BIT UNFAIR TO COMPARE HENDRIX, IN TERMS OF SONG WRITING, TO THE BEATLES; HE WASN'T IN THAT KIND OF A BAND; HIS UNIT WAS A THROWN TOGETHER SITUATION; THE BEATLES HAD A REAL BAND AND IT SHOWED.

HENDRIX DIDN’T HAVE A SIGNIFICANT SONG WRITING PARTNER AS DID PAUL & JOHN AND HIS PROFESSIONAL CAREER STARTED MUCH LATER IN LIFE AND IT WAS RATHER SHORT.

I WOULD NEVER COMPARE ANYONE TO THE BEATLES BECAUSE THAT WILL NEVER BE EQUALED.

JIMI'S PLAYING WAS SOULFUL, PASSIONATE, CREATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL AND FULL OF FEELING.

IN TERMS OF SELF EXPRESSION, IN THE LITTLE TIME HE WAS HERE, MAYBE THE BEST MUSICIAN/ARTIST I HAVE EVER HEARD. ...

I'm guessing maybe it is "It's just not my personal cup of tea." Jimi Hendrix was a musician. A politician is something else even if "he coaxed weird frightening feedback noises out of it the likes of which fellow genius Peter Townshend had only umm... I guess attempted to make."

mnottertail is frightened. He knows there are dark forces at work. He is much too obsequious to these dark forces for my taste. It is not my cup of tea to bow in servitude to one who does not serve the One True God, to this Whore of Babylon. Soon there will be a war of words. Our leaders may have to do battle with an antichrist. I offer my prayer to God for their safety. This Sunday, I offer three prayers for our nation: Saint Patrick's Breastplate, Prayer of Saint Michael, and the Our Father.

Begin with the Sign of the Cross.

quote:

Saint Patrick's Breastplate

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
of the Creator of creation.

I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth with His baptism,
Through the strength of His crucifixion with His burial,
Through the strength of His resurrection with His ascension,
Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.

I arise today
Through the strength of the love of cherubim,
In the obedience of angels,
In the service of archangels,
In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In the prayers of patriarchs,
In the predictions of prophets,
In the preaching of apostles,
In the faith of confessors,
In the innocence of holy virgins,
In the deeds of righteous men.

I arise today, through
The strength of heaven,
The light of the sun,
The radiance of the moon,
The splendor of fire,
The speed of lightning,
The swiftness of wind,
The depth of the sea,
The stability of the earth,
The firmness of rock.

I arise today, through
God's strength to pilot me,
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me
From snares of devils,
From temptation of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
afar and near.

I summon today
All these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel and merciless power
that may oppose my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul;
Christ to shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me an abundance of reward.

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
of the Creator of creation.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

May the United States be victorious in battle against the evil one. Above all may we be faithful to God. May His will be done. It is not impossible that as Christians what we face today is the End Time Battle between good and evil. Choose good and do not fall into temptation. Recite the Our Father, then renew your baptismal promise. It is an oath. Take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We have all in some small way turned away from God.

quote:

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

quote:

Renewal of Baptismal Promises

V. Do you reject Satan?
R. I do.
V. And all his works?
R. I do.
V. And all his empty promises?
R. I do.
V. Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
R. I do.

V. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
R. I do.

V. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
R. I do.

V. God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.

R. Amen.

"I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the country in a different direction," Romney told a few hundred supporters and staffers in a stunned convention center ballroom. Romney is indeed a Christian and for this I praise him.

He's a Mormon. I don't consider Mormons Christians because they are polytheists.

Christians, though they deny it, are polytheists:
Father, Son, Holy Ghost,
Mother Mary and the Host
of Saints in Heaven
we pray for deliverance

You do realize that not all christians follow the same set of rules right?

That, I'm sure he does. What he doesn't seem to get is the definition of polytheism.

At least Kirata is worth responding to. I have unusual insight into these matters. I will not be swayed, not because I am ignorant, but because I know better. God answered my prayer. As a child I asked Him to reveal to me why.

I think anyone so up-their-own-ass that they cannot see anything beyond their own nose is more false than any others.

I also think that anyone making such an outrageous claim is either nuts, deranged, stupid or an extremist.

I think BM has lost the plot. lol.

I surely understand the definition.
But thishereboi is right . .
I should have addressed my snarky comments to the Pope.
I emailed my apologies to Martin Luther and John Calvin.
