To the best of My recollection, I've seen it in two categories:

1. Introduction threads.

2. Threads that were situational regarding a request for help for a particular issue in the life of the original poster.

Both of these are in the "updates" category, rather than rehashing.

Where the line seems to be drawn is the revival of generalized discussion topics, (i.e., difference between sub vrs slave, what does a collar mean, etc) current events, and most of the stuff that qualifies for P&R.

If I'm wrong on that, maybe a Mod can clarify.

I would suggest: Don't try to 'shut off' off those feelings; instead see if you can enliven some other feelings. Me, I've found that works far better. Put another way: don't try to get away from the misery, try to go *towards* the fun and the good. Go out, see friends, enjoy yourself wherever and however you can. *Any* fun.

Baby steps, that's all. It's there, in you, you just need to wake it, gently. Just tickle it, as it were.

OP, I strongly suggest you call the local Parole office and ask if one of those officers could advise you. They will know better than you what his future life will be like. And yes, the fact he's been turned down repeatedly for parole should tell you that his violent tendencies have gotten worse, not better.

A Parole officer will know what your future will be like living with a man who has been in prison for ten years. Because they've seen it. And you need to know in detail what it will be like.

Being incarcerated doesnt mean he has proven himself to be untrustworthy. It means he was convicted of breaking the law. That includes a lot of heroes. Nelson Mandela spent decades incarcerated. Chelsae Manning is in prison. Deric Lostutter is facing more prison time than the rapists he exposed, for exposing them. You don't know why her Dom is in prison and you shouldn't assume he is untrustworthy.

I wish I could offer some help to the OP, I don't know how to keep things charged with someone in prison though. I do think that if you hve held out for 7 years that you can hold out longer.

ETA: tricked by the necro. Well, I hope she is doing better for herself and is happier. Looks like it from her profile. I am not in any way saying she made the wrong decision by leaving him, but my statement about assumptions regarding people in prison still stands.
