LOL, OP is quoting the fuckin stupidest shit I have ever heard, what fuckin codswallow.

Just providing the progressives room to be themselves.

So, yoiu think the OP is a progressive?  How do you come to that, because there is no other way to parse your sentence.  (even with the joking thing)

No, I think your response is quite in line with how a progressive deals with the topic.

well the 'conservative' viewpoint is demonstrably cretinous, you cannot sign away your rights under the constitution, to the government for any reason (even pecuniary interest)..........voluntarily, and not because some fucking moron blogger who styles himself a shithouse lawyer says so, for sure,  that is an illegal contract, or you better believe we would be testing teabaggers right now for all these things and well........never mind, they wouldn't be picking up a paycheck anyway, we can get inept idiots for free, they like to brag about their stupidity.

Yes, you have to wonder about someone who offers a solution that repeats the mantra "then get a job" no fewer than FOUR times, and then goes on to deny that unemployment has anything to do with the thread.

If one has a job then the topic is of no direct meaning to you. If you don't, and need government assistance, then it does.

You clearly are having trouble identifying the subject.

There is no subject, (unless if you really screw your face up and pretend it might be 'it', but that is real shakey ground in a sentence fragement. Please review the English Language.

Again, Yachtie, explain to me how "unemployment" has nothing to do with "employment". Just EXPLAIN it.....just try....

And by the way Yachtie, why don't you respond to my prior post. I'll repeat it here for your benefit.

Sorry Yachtie, but I'm neither a communist nor a right wing fascist, so this ain't flying with me.

What is it about a social safety net that you don't understand (because it is clear, in fact, very, very clear, that you don't understand what it is).

And if you despise living in a liberal democracy that has a safety social net, there are many places on the globe that function EXACTLY as you describe. Why don't you consider moving there if you hate it here so much?

In the way that some unconstitutional pimple faced fuzz nuts is seen as having brains enough to pour piss out of a boot, and worthy of discussion.

Even joe the plumber was more real than this stupid shit.

Where have I said I have a problem with a social safety net? It's not the net but how it's done. If anything, it's people of your progressive nature who make it the unworkable mess it is.

Also, I may miss a post here and there. Or perhaps I just feel it's not worth responding to.

Your entire post is a criticism of the social safety net. Because that's how a social safety net works. What you describe in the OP would NOT be a social safety net. Is that clearer to you now?

And by the way, there are many countries that have low tax rates, and do not have any type of redistributive policies, including no social safety net. Those countries exist. Just go move there if you think that kind of structure is so WONDERFUL. But let's be honest. You would never move there because guess what? Those places are pretty horrible places to live. You think that's a coincidence? Think again, my friend....think again.....

It is unclear how it is progressive, it is demonstrably 'conservatives' who fuck it up.

The progressive idea of the social safety net, yes. I agree. But such is not the only method. But it is the one you approve of.

What you describe in the OP would NOT be a social safety net

Au contraire. It's just not as comfortable as yours, it's cheaper and not to your ideological liking.

The rest is typical progressive noise. I'll ignore it.

Alright Yachtie. I give up.

The topic isn't about people on welfare finding employment.

The topic isn't about social safety nets.

Is the topic about some rant by a 21 year old from Waco, TX? That appears to be what the OP is if you click on the link. Well heck. None of us should be discussing it. The entire rant is OFF-TOPIC. This doesn't belong in P&R.

The rest is NOT progressive noise. Point me to ONE country where you would actually want to live that has a system that you describe in the OP. JUST ONE.

And NO. What is described in the OP is NOT a social safety net. It is not.

Some ignorant blogger with Randian fantasies posts a rant by a person claiming to be all of 21 and I'm supposed to take it seriously?

I see you prefer to attack the messenger instead of the common sense stated. Is it really any wonder?

No, if I was attacking the messenger I would have attacked you. I pointed out the authors were incredibly naive people who believe totally debunked garbage.

Yeah, what the "claiming to be all of 21" wrote is a bit hot for you to touch. Isn't it! Better to take a running swipe and call it a day.

It's hateful garbage written by someone who has never had to worry about keeping their belly full or a roof over their head. Why should I spend even as much time as it took to read it thinking about?

Oh, and explain to me why you didn't respond to my post the first time - according to you, you felt "it's not worth responding to."

And yet, now, you are trying to claim that what you describe is a "social safety net".

You can't have it both ways Yachtie.

What, exactly, is your post supposed to be about???

Now, none of us knows.

None of us knows, because even you don't know what your post is about......oi....this is what I get for trying to engage in discussion.

How bloody well useless of an OP.....an OP that has NO topic....

Sure it is. Other countries are not the topic.

Thank you for playing.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct.

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary.

++++++++++++++++++

Yup, some KFC toiletlicker is throwing the constitution out the window, saying stupid shit that wouldn't hold up past traffic court, a typically teabagger regressive idea.
