Hugs, I hope and pray you have a speedy recovery. 8 years ago my colon ruptured due to an infection and I had to have the bad part removed and a type of colostomy to let it heal. It was horrible at first. I cried so much, I was not used to caring for it or changing it. I had several visits with the nurse and with her help I got used to it and learned to care for it. By the time my surgery date to have it removed and my pluming put back together it was no longer a big deal. I hope yours is temporary too but if the worst happens I hope you will have a similar experience and within a few weeks it will not be a big deal for you either.

Couldn't have said it better myself. And there will be, from the most fragile to the most heart-warmingly robust, akin to the panda cub's growth.
