I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your kind posts.

The bad news is that there's an oncologist in my near future.

The good news is that we may have caught things early enough to stave off disaster.

Again, warmest thanks to you all!

Just remember that studies have shown that a positive outlook really makes a difference in the whole process.

Prayers for a speedy and successful process.

Tomorrow brings an important and scary doctor's appointment. I'd be grateful for any prayers, good wishes, healing energy, karma, or what-have-you you can send my way.

You don't want my karma. Heh. But I can manage the rest.

K.

Sorry to keep you hanging! [:)]

This week has been such a blur of medical appointments that I'm still piecing the "story" together. I also want to be careful about not inflicting TMI on folks. As of this morning's CT scan, it sounds as if the cancer has spread a bit into the lymph nodes, but not too severely. I don't know how that news will affect the treatment plan, which was a mix of radiation, surgery, and chemo.

At the moment my "lifeline" is the assurance of the surgeon I met on Friday that the cancer is "treatable" and "not a death sentence."

Again, warmest thanks to you all!

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Got Prayers? (Or Good Wishes?) (2/2/2013 12:28:20 PM)

I am sending you tons of positive energy.

There are some wonderful cancer treatment centers out there.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Got Prayers? (Or Good Wishes?) (2/2/2013 1:22:02 PM)

When caught early, most cancer is not a death sentence. Of course, catching it early is the key, and far too often what doesn't happen.

Again, a POSITIVE outlook has been scientifically proven to bring about more success in treatment.

Unless I missed it, you don't mention where the cancer is. But as I said, more cancers are completely treatable than people realize.

Think positive, follow your oconologist's orders and don't overdo in your effort to keep doing everything you did before. With the treatment, it is important to follow your body's clues when it tells you to rest.

And don't forget you have the positive energy and prayers of all of us here coming your way to help you along.

You got some horrible news. I, for one, don't think anything would be TMI if you needed to vent and talk about it. I doubt I'm alone in saying, whenever you need to vent, scream, cry or just need virtual hugs and support, don't hesitate.
