Yeah... the whole "internment camp" gig was one of those conspiracy theories that I was tracking and had in the maybe category. Based upon a conversation with a friend I finally decided to dig into it. As it turns out, I was less than impressed with the results of what I'd found starting right out with the fact that the whole thing is hardly new and many of the alleged "camps" have been totally discredited. In other words, much as I like my tinfoil hat this one isn't working for me.

Now... whether or not there are "internment camps" is an entirely separate question from whether the US government is militarizing police and quasi-police entities like the DHS. That, of course, is a given.

It was considered during the 'Rodney King' riots and was done during Katrina. (martial law) The US military and LNG started to go door to door to do just that...take your guns away. I mean it helps if one actually is interested in doing all of the research they can. Clearly, if someone is not confident in what they seek, it is very likely...they won't find it.

Tell me this kinkroids, if these internment camps are not all that and I can see that they may not be, why does FEMA, a dept. NOT created by law at all but by Exec. Order..need the $billions they get every year ? And why is any admittance of the press denied to these 'camps.' What are they hiding ? Why is debate in the HOR on just this subject taken behind closed doors ?

Now if you believe that it takes all those billions to run an agency whose whole reason for existence is to run minimum govt. in case of national emergency, i.e., keeping govt. running, then why ANY camps at all ?

I mean, I am not surprised that THE question just didn't take hold did it. During NG exercises, armed personnel patrolling in THEIR, your (anyone's neighborhood) the question that wasn't asked...JUST WHO DO YOU SHOOT FIRST...YOUR MOTHER OR YOUR SISTER ?

Govt. should pay for our tin foil...it is working so well.

FEMA spends billions every year dealing with and preparing for natural disasters like hurricane Sandy and the various and sundry wildfires.

There are no camps so there is nothing for the press to be denied entry to.

FEMA's responsibility isnot limited to keeping the government functioning. They respond to any and all federally recognized disasters.

It is amazing to me that even the surealone is still pushing this stuff. Glenn Beck, who will believe just about any batshit insane conspiracy theory, debunked this one several years ago.

yeh but they specify right in the bill that they are to also use existing bases.

How about the UN involvement on US soil?

We are negotiating with the UN on rent arrangements right now, our Queen wants to be paid in pounds sterling, but nobody can find any.  We'll get back to you if we can make the deal.

but ken, you have ron paul talking about it on the house floor, ollie north being told he does not have to answer questions about it due to national security, you have these contracts with halliburton and kbr, a huge build up in ammo, and for the first time in american history armored cars running over the streets.

and this letter;

so what do you have other than your standing on a soapbox to support your claim camps do not exist when the bill itself calls for also modifying and using existing military bases?

Looks to me like you are just rooty toot tooting your horn again without anything to back it up.

here are just a couple excerpts and its crystal clear their finger is on the trigger and its poiinted at us

So you do not have an issue with the UN have joint jurisdiction huh.

1st amendment is just bullshit no one cares about anyway right.
Kool now we can elect who we want to be our propaganda minister he

and of course its ok to shoot anyone trying to leave during supposed disaster relief enforcement, how convenient!

Snipers for riot control is always a good idea!

Hey they are hiring, you gonna apply

the latest update is 2010, without posee commatatus there is no protection for anyone

if that is not clear enough what do they need to do mow down your family before you take a serious look at it?

You have been debunked! lol

I love the way a UN presence in America is more of an issue than concentration camps...
