Let's not forget the real Amateurs from 2012:

Yachtie -> RE: "Obama the Amateur" Part II (6/3/2013 4:04:37 PM)

This is so lame an attempt to divert. The political left knows they fucked up with Obama.

We do? Your mind reading seems to be off. If Obama is so terrible then why did all the competent republicans, assuming any exist, stay out of the 2012 campaign and leave it to a stuffed shirt who actually had to run against one his few accomplishments besides making money by destroying jobs.

DarkSteven -> RE: "Obama the Amateur" Part II (6/3/2013 4:32:09 PM)

Actually, I might have been able to support a Huntsman candidacy.

tazzygirl -> RE: "Obama the Amateur" Part II (6/3/2013 4:40:30 PM)

I might have as well... we didnt get the chance.

Nowhere as lame as your constant anti Obama threads though. Its noticable you hardly ever return to your own threads with anything like a valid argument, just more mudslinging.

You do like setting up your own strawman arguments, don't you?

I doubt you'd recognize a valid argument.

Of course I'm anti-Obama, otherwise I'd be pro-Obama. The man is a joke. Which is a good reason liberals don't get it.

What strawman? Either Romney was not the best candidate available and the question is why didn't someone more able run and beat Obama or Romney was the best Republican available and the question is then how did he lose to a so called amateur? So which is it?

cloudboy -> RE: "Obama the Amateur" Part II (6/3/2013 7:11:16 PM)

He got less than 1% of the primary votes cast.

tazzygirl -> RE: "Obama the Amateur" Part II (6/3/2013 7:13:24 PM)

Because the rest were what the GOP were banking on. Huntsman got very little national attention.

He caught my interest too, in part because he helped negotiate China's extension of its panda loan to the National Zoo.

Hey, as Tip O'Neill said, all politics is local. [:)]

Same here. I've been disappointed in Obama, but in 2012, he was the best for the job.

" I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country. And I appreciated so very much the frank dialogue.

There was no kind of diplomatic chit-chat, trying to throw each other off balance. There was a straightforward dialogue. And that's the beginning of a very constructive relationship. I wouldn't have invited him to my ranch if I didn't trust him. (Laughter.) "

Yeah, but Huntsman was actually a reasonable, intelligent guy who based his positions on the real world instead of partisan posturing. The Rush Limbaugh faction of the GOP could never have gotten behind him.
