I think it is well established George had more than a bruise.

A bloody nose and a couple of scratches does not equate to reasonable fear of imminent death and/or serious bodily harm.

True. No injuries are required at all to have a reasonable fear of death or serious bodily harm.

But there has to be something. An unarmed teenager had to do something pretty extreme to make a reasonable man believe he was in imminent danger of being killed. What was it? Did he take a swig of his drink or eat a few skittles?

If you are pinned to the ground and can't escape, while taking head injury, you have a solid reason to fear imminent death.

The forensics show Trayvon was on top of George when the shot was fired.

I'm going with Ken on this one. Zimmerman is a heavy guy who obviously likes to eat, and when Trayvon refused to share the Skittles he went berserk. Seems pretty obvious, to me.

Did Martin's corpse lie at Zimmerman's left hand side or at his right hand side?

Classic case of the race card ruining the victim's (Zimmerman) life while ending the perpetrator's (Martin). According to what I've heard today via a live video feed of the trial, Zimmerman only referred to Martin as black AFTER the 911 dispatcher asked him if he could identify the person (Martin) as white, black or Hispanic and THAT's when Zimmerman said he (Martin) was black...and THAT's not racist On the other hand, according to the same live video feed, the girl who was talking with Martin via cell-phones said Martin referred to Zimmerman as a "creepy ass cracker", which she then told the defense attorney she didn't think was racist -- now THAT's racist!

Zimmerman pursued and shot and killed an unarmed teenager. In what universe does the unarmed teenager become "the perpetrator?"

I think that it is good that Martin is dead. I have said so in a far earlier thread already.

Zimmerman pursued and shot and killed an unarmed teenager.

Absolutely. Plain as day. If a bunch of idiots weren't being sticklers for evidence, we could have strung him up long ago and saved a lot of time and money. I'm with you on this. Thanks for being a true blue American.

And the word pursued, which implies an intent to catch that isn't in evidence.

Back in the Forties a bunch of countries ganged-up on Germany and destroyed it.

What part of that statement is not undisputed fact?

The Prosecution's case is actually going FOR Zimmerman rather than AGAINST him. :-)

In other news, "creepy-ass cracker" is not an offensive racial comment.
West: “You don’t think that’s a racial comment?”
    Jeantel: “No.”

West: “You don’t think calling someone a creepy-ass cracker is offensive?”
    Jeantel: “No.”
Well alrighty then, that settles that.

I was suspecting the similar motivations as regards Martin's relatives.

"The fundamental question that will be answered in the George Zimmerman trial is this: Does a defendant still have the right to defend their own life - with deadly force if necessary - even if that defendant's own actions resulted in the initial physical encounter?" added Project 21 member Christopher Arps. "I pray the media, supporters of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman and especially the jury remember this fundamental question during the course of this racially-charged trial."

Look, Zimmerman will be acquitted, riots will erupt in every urban center with a population greater than 100k, Obama will declare martial law and start herding americans into FEMA death camps so that the NWO can march in and take over.

I have a source at the Psych ward at the big spring state hospital who has a source in the government.

Uh, not just no but hell no.
This is because the race-baiters had to turn a simple act of self-defence into a cause celebre to try to make themselves appear relevant and raise some more money from fools.

If Zimmerman argues self defense he loses on the facts so he best not try it.

Though I do have to give you credit for having the chutzpah to call someone else a race baiter.

They are arguing self defense.

And so far, making the prosecution look pretty bad in the process.

It looks bad for the prosecution now but just wait until they call their expert forensic witness DomKen to the stand, Zimmerman is fucked

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine? Seriously, Zimmerman is a tad on the chunky side, and sometimes swelling is not that noticeable to use more abundantly-fleshed people. I've been in my share of knock-down fights, and when you start taking head shots, you get worried.

Will he be acquitted? Maybe. If he does, I'm sure there's a ton of folks who already have their shopping lists made out. If he doesn't, he'll get a bounce on the appeal.
