Yet no grass stains

He didn't land on concrete because injuries don't match and he didn't land on grass cause there are no stains so I guess he levitated, your starting to sound like the Warren commission.

Methinks you missed the quotes around "Polite Society". Which still apply today, when you consider most of the societies around the world. Even modern US society (among others) is little more than a veneer.

And I think you missed:

I, for one, would certainly hope that such things would be things of the past. Do these type of things still go on, today? Yes. Have I ever claimed that we're a polite society? No.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

A little touchy Michael? Sorry about your butthurt but the original point stands, what passed for polite society historically did include wife beating, duels, rape and more. No case was made in favour of such, it is simply a historical fact regardless of what you would consider. Biting my ass off over it doesn't change that.

Not touchy at all, sock puppet. I just wanted to make it big enough for your eyes since you missed it the first time.

Pixels on a screen hardly rise to the importance of making me touchy but, you carry on, puppet. Enjoy yourself.

We're done, here.

Nope... just having a conversation.

Either he landed on grass or cement, can't have it both ways.

The only thing suspicious about Martin according to Zimmerman was that he was black unless you really believe simply walking slowly and looking around is somehow inherently criminally suspicious.

When asked what race Martin was he responded that is not profiling.
Cracker on the other hand is.

Yet neither add up. They would have had to been on concrete when Z leaned over T's body.... no grass or mud stains on Z's pants. No stains on his coat... not even a rip that I could see. Doesnt appear, to me, like much of a struggle. A struggle against concrete would have left evidence on his clothes.

Just some out loud pondering.

Now if Martin grabbed for the gun, his DNA would be on the weapon.

Second point, if Trayvon Martin was fighting with Zimmerman, then Zimmerman's DNA would be on him.

Something seriously does not add up.

I doubt that Martin was going for the gun. He had to much fun beating Zimmerman with his fists. I think that Martin never knew that he was shot.

So I suspect that Zimmerman asserted this for legal reasons, though in his own mind he may be and have been convinced that it was the truth.

Yet only one small cut on his hand.... just below the ring finger. Hardly what I would say would be a pounding.

BamaD -> RE: Zimmerman Con't / Predict the Verdict (7/4/2013 6:59:27 PM)

Gun proponents like you want to see the use of guns as legitimate and hence want to see the facts in favor of Zimmerman. Hardly any of you even consider Zimmerman stupid and reckless.

Use of guns is legitimate and sometimes appropriate. Anti gunners want to invalidate self defense to help disarm people. That would explain why the concept that the defendant is innocent until proven guilty not guilty till proven innocent as any claim that he has to prove self defense when it is the state which must prove it was not.

Things happened that dont fit the story line.

I'm having trouble squaring those two statements.

Martin's race was the sole factor to arouse Zimmerman's suspicion, yet he wasn't profiling?

Zimmerman: Hey we've had some break-ins in my neighborhood, and there's a
real suspicious guy
, uh, [near] Retreat View Circle, um, the best address I can
give you is 111 Retreat View Circle. This guy looks like he's up to no good, or
he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking
about.

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy is he white, black, or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.

The only thing suspicious about Martin according to Zimmerman was that he was black unless you really believe simply walking slowly and looking around is somehow inherently criminally suspicious.

Zimmerman did not list the skin color of the 'real suspicious guy' as a reason for perceiving the guy as acting suspiciously. He specifically mentioned his behavior as evoking suspicion.

I have no idea what caused the cut. Nor have I seen the cut - and if I had seen it, I would not know how to interpret it.

Except that there is no evidence that it was even part of it. It was Martins ducking between buildings possibly in an attempt to avoid getting rained on as much that raised Zimmerman's suspicions. Remember he didn't say there is this black guy who looks suspicious it was this guy looks suspicious and then they asked him what race the guy was. Did Zimmerman have to refuse to answer to avoid profiling? And what is creepy ass cracker but racist profiling?

1/4 x 1/8 inch abrasion... not really a cut... to his left (I believe) ring finger. Thats it for the damage to T's hands.

Like another person on here I have punched the solid framework of a house without leaving a mark on my fist. And I don't consider myself to be unusually invulnerable.

actually in an area with a recent history of breakins yeahh it is

twice I had occasion to speak with officers under similar circumstances

once in highschool myself and three others were riding around looking for a girls house in a neighborhood we were unfamiliar with, and an officer pulled us over and asked this and that etc etc etc then told us there had been some recent break ins and us LOOKING AROUND looked like we were casing homes

a second time early in my plumbing career I went to a mans house and he wasn't home yet so I decided to wait for him to get home and while I waited I went to the back of the van to clean things up a bit while I waited.
all of a sudden there was a banging on my van and an officer wanted to know what I was doing, BECAUSE, there had been some break ins in the area and my van just BEING THERE was suspicios

sooo YEAH after dark, person fitting the description of people who had done previous breakins, in the rain, looking around, in an area with a recent history of break ins, ABSOLUTLEY enough to raise suspicion regardless of race!

we'll also note, the 911 operator did not say, nothing suspiscios about a guy walking around in the dark in the area, they seemed to think it was suspiscious enough to send a car to check out

does anyone know the amount of time that passed between the shot being fired and the arrival of the 1st car?

in other words was there a car already en route when the shot was fired, or was a car disapatched only AFTER, another call came in reporting shots fired?

not that I think its actual evicence in the case/trial, but for arguments sake if it was within seconds, meaning they were already enroute it does mean the police took it seriously enough to send a car ASAP rather than treating it as a nusance call

I remember calling the police one time when a car hit my van and told them he is still sitting there, tried to run but his car stalled and he is trying to get it started again, if you hurry you'll catch him, anddd they didn't show up for like 1/2 an hour!

Funny isn't it that walking around slowly and looking at houses isn't suspicious but walking behind someone justifies beating them into the ground.

can't for the life of me think of why Zimmerman (the heavier adult male) couldn't simply roll him off and try to deescalate the situation. Zimmerman had 20llbs on Martin.

That is revealing something about you.

quote:

ORIGINAL: cloudboy
BTW: Zimmerman has ballooned up 100 llbs since being arrested. That is kind of mind boggling.

He probably ate a lot of icecream or chocolate due to the stress of his ordeal and trial.
