In this case the facts show that Zimmerman got punched in the nose, someone wound up on the ground and his head hit the concrete once just hard enough to break skin. No reasonable person would fear imminent death or great bodily harm from that.

I actually question if Zimmy's head hit any concrete at all, he imo just hit the ground and maybe something hard there like pebbles or gravel in the grass caused the scratches.. given that Zimmy pushed Martin off and given the direction of Martins body, Zimmy's head was IMO some distance from the sidewalk.. it just sounds "better" for Zimmy to say his head was hitting concrete.. so I dont believe his statement on that either.. JMO

Could have easily been a stick with pointed edges.... something as simple as these....

And in that situation your mind will give you worse case situation so this is not relevant.

I doubt with fight or flight kicking in.. as you gentlemen keep insisting... I would never notice the injury to begin with.

It has already been testified in court that George's multiple head injuries are consistent with his head meeting concrete multiple times.

More likely be aware that your head is hitting something and not having the luxury of examining it assuming the worst.
Depends on the individual and situation I was once knockout by a blow I hardly felt.
On another occasion my head felt like it had been split open and there was no injury.

Zimmerman maintains that Trayvon Martin tried to take his gun, if true, explain this:

quote:

(CBS) -- Slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin's DNA wasn't detected on George Zimmerman's gun, a Florida Department of Law Enforcement DNA analyst testified Wednesday.

Anthony Gorgone also testified that George Zimmerman's DNA wasn't found under the teen's fingernails.

Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch captain charged in Martin's shooting death, claims he killed the teen in self-defense during an altercation last year in a Sanford, Fla. gated community. Zimmerman said Martin slammed his head into a sidewalk and reached for his gun before he fatally shot the teen. He is charged with second-degree murder.

George Zimmerman trial: Trayvon Martin's DNA not on Zimmerman's gun, DNA analyst testifies

Now if Martin grabbed for the gun, his DNA would be on the weapon.

Second point, if Trayvon Martin was fighting with Zimmerman, then Zimmerman's DNA would be on him.

Something seriously does not add up.

Not necessarily true. Case in point, George's DNA was not found on the trigger despite pulling it.

The ME said the injuries on the back of his head were minor .. I have fallen on my knees several times and each time had considerably worse injuries than Zimmy did, and after Zimmy was cleaned up after the paramedics arrived, they werent even easily noticeable, my knees looked a hell of a lot worse, and that wasnt my knees "meeting concrete multiple times".. and I have scars also from those falls.. so I dont believe Zimmy, period.. you can believe him, I dont have to..

What Zimmerman maintains, and even he may not be aware of this, is that he thought Martin was going for his gun. Not only may he have been wrong but Martin may have gotten ahold of it through Zimmerman's jacket. It has also been established that the DNA was mishandled.

I missed the part where Zimmerman got a time out to assess his injuries, no doubt it was when he was checking Martins ID to see if he was still a minor.
I still have a dent in my right shin inflicted 40 years ago, it didn't break the skin.

And no one has explained how to reduce swilling of the nose in a just a couple of hours. I really want to know how to do that.

In this case they found the injuries a few minutes latter STILL BLEEDING

tazzygirl -> RE: Zimmerman Con't / Predict the Verdict (7/4/2013 5:01:08 PM)

Yep.. and do you know how profuse a head wound bleeds? They dont have to be serious at all, a lil scratch will bleed like crazy.

I meant, how did Z know he hit his head against the concrete. Personally, I think that is an assumption on his part.

If he assumed it was the concrete that still proves his case unless you think he should have called time out to properly assess his injury.
My son once broke the tile on a gym floor knocking himself out without even breaking the skin.

1) The ME never examined George, only photos from over 4 hours after. The ME the State used also has a string of complaints about her going back for years, and the State brought her in as a last minute witness and played games preventing her deposition. She also tried to write off bumps as normal head features, however...
2). George's head has bumps and marks on all sides, and was so swollen Singleton asked him if that was the normal shape of his head. She then pointed out the next day how much the swelling had gone down.
3) It has already been well established to the jury that George didn't need any injuries at all, but the injuries he did have help corroborate being in fear of further injury.

Gym floors are typically padded.
