I asked ...

You dont have a problem with being put on a pedestal in an attempt to shut down other voices?

Being put... means someone else put you there....

why were you, and others here, put on that pedestal?

In an attempt to shut people up who disagreed with the poster.

I asked you how you felt about being put on that pedestal.

contrary to your beleif that I am illiterate with poor comprehension skills I understood what you said QUITE clearly

asking me if I have a problem with it clearly implies you feel I do not have a problem with it, if you did not feel that way you wouldn't have felt the need to ask me!

any two bit lawyer knows you do not ask a question you don't feel you already know the answer to

Of course I would ask you. The same as I would ask Lucy... and Lucy and I think alike on most issues.

How am I to know how you would feel if I dont ask you?

Then you would accuse me of knowing how you feel about things. So I asked.

Then you need better lawyers. See them all the time ask questions they already know the answer too.

hmmm that is EXACTLY what I just said, but its MY comprehension skills that are lacking OOOOOOOOOOOK

and BTW thanks for confirming what I said, only a terrible lawyer would ask a question then be SURPRIZED by the answer given!

I am not a lawyer.

Why would I assume I know what he feels

For All I know, he could be an egomaniac and enjoy being put on a pedestal.

So I ask, because how many times do we see people complaining about someone assuming someone else's position here.

No, only a terrible lawyer wouldnt ask the questions... Im not a lawyer... I dont know answers... and I refuse to assume. However,. there are times when silence speaks loudly.

All along you insist you knew what I meant... how you didnt want to get baited into an argument... then you start the argument... interesting how that twisted around, isnt it... when you could have avoided all this by simply saying.. no, I dont enjoy it, why are you asking?

Oh, I know you do but for some, it is their stock-in-trade.

You and I have disagreed in minor ways, a couple of times but it has never devolved. Unfortunately, with the "anointed ones", that isn't the case.

They engage in all kinds of tactics that not only violate TOS but also common courtesy and accepted debate practice. Their opinions become useless by their own abuse of decency.

Unfortunately, they seem to enjoy a certain impugnity because they're ALWAYS around. Actually, I believe that one of the people I'm referencing is either a moderator or a "special friend" to one of the moderators.

I know I reported a post once (about a month ago) and the post was edited before the moderator could get to it. Excellent timing, there.

I've also had tickets just simply "disappear". Nothing nefarious, of course. It's just coincidence.

Bullshit! There's not that much coincidence on the planet.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I do not expect constant agreement, that would be boring, but I appreciate the fact that we can disagree without rancor.

Hmmm.. I could list a dozen people that I don't always agree with who seem pefectly capable of disagreeing in a thoughtful way.

There are others of course.

How about the mods just ban anybody with more than 10 posts in a single Zimmerman thread? An alternative would be a thread for "no shitheads allowed," where reasonable people can discuss the matter, and another where the fucktards can play?

I just had to put a post up because the title is really messing with my CDO.

Normally, I don't think changing the title of a thread should be allowed. In fact; I think it should be a TOS violation but I just can't look at the extra "E" on "Quit", anymore.

I apologize for my CDO, people.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

only a terrible lawyer wouldn't ask questions that he doesn't already know how the questioned will answer?
yeah cause lawyers ALWAYS like to be suprized, hahahaha

ever see the movie, "my cousin vinnie" the stuttering lawyer is a CLASSIC example of a lawyer asking questions then be SURPRIZED by the answers

I started this argument?
no I tried to AVOID it by not answering at all, then you took ANOTHER SWIPE at me saying I was AFRAID to answer. so seeing you weren't going to stop I decided to engage

I didn't even bother to point out that your original alegation that it wasn't me who was involved in the whole QUOTATION MARKS discussion was incorrect, which is what was being talked about, not your LIST!

As in most threads about moderation, it seems that many people are operating under the assumption that the mods are a higher form of human being, under the guidance of a superhuman Mother Superior who selflessly dedicate all of their spare time to objectively ensuring that the discussions here remain scrupulously accurate and reliably truthful, and that they do so without a shred of ego, or any other human failings.

Me, I'm skeptical... After enduring Mod 11, and the sock puppet sisters, etc. etc. it would make zero sense to believe anything other than the obvious... That just like any other forum, the mods are simply people. People with egos, prejudices, and everything else, filtered through the lenses of anonymity, and the internet.

And if that is indeed the case, then it follows rationally that there is every chance that one or more of the most deliberate trolls here, have done whatever it took to get the petty power of being a mod, and when they get butthurt at having their grandiose fantasies about being experts on law, medicine, military, and so on scoffed at in the forums, people get 'modded' in retaliation.

Because that's the way things are in the *real* world.

Or maybe CollarMe is a perfect world free of any such mundane human games.

Believe what you want.

that was MEEE! hehehe someone said I called M a kid when I had actually quoted the person I replied to and didn't use quotation marks to show it was a quote even though it was a WORD FOR WORD quote

GUILTY!!!!!!
heheh

Actually, it wasnt you. I know that upsets you greatly.

It was about setting up sides, pointing fingers at a select group and saying "These are the elite of this group, they never do wrong!"

So, of course I will take exception and I quickly pointed out the fallacy of that position.

You dont have a problem with being put on a pedestal in an attempt to shut down other voices?

I would.

Ok, I get it. I shouldn't have made a list of names and I can see how it may have seemed like I was putting them on a petistal though that was not my intention. I certainly wasn't trying to shut down other voices. It was a dumb way to start the post and I apologize as I should have just said *give it up guys* "it's like talking to an empty room" and left it at that. I still stand by the point I was making and the list of quotes speaks for itself.
