He was taking Adderall and Temazepam. Both mind and mood altering drugs. The side effects shouldn't matter, what should matter is that he had a mental state which required medication. He needed those meds for balance. My goodness if you are enlisting in the Air Force (the only branch I'm familiar with) and your medical records show that you have been on Ritalin, you are DQ'd.
