The kinds that hides and enables pedophiles like Koresh and makes them into heroes.

These kooks had already killed federal agents and there was evidence that Koresh was still trying to impregnate the cult members`s UMs.Even with a fucking hole shot through his side...Only a rightist would be ok with that continuing...

And , the cult members had 10lb propane tanks wired with explosives throughout the main building....they torched the place...That`s what burned the place down in 5 minutes.....The agents used an armored car to inject tear gas into the place,the lunatic fringe says the white gas coming out from the pipe is not tear gas but it a flame thrower.It was the craziest of the crazies committing mass suicide.



Bonkers....the lot of them, and we had republicans speaking on the cult`s behalf ,bashing the FBI for doing their jobs.

And it wasn`t federal agents who shot all those UMs through the head....... that were found in the underground tunnel after the fire.

One thing Koresh always did when he made his threat-videos for the media to play.....he always had a kid on his lap.

It`s not accurate to say that "gun owners" were to blame for Koresh...It`s spot on accurate to blame republicans-NRA-gunnutters for defending Koresh.

I think that anything on Waco is suspect. For some reason the BDs were destroyed. The only thing that I am certain of is that whatever reason is proffered, it is a lie. We may never know what the true reason was.

funny you should mention children as collateral damage, cause I THINK a fairly decent percentage of the fatalities in AUTO ACCIDENTS, were in fact CHILDREN...

so am I understanding you correctly, the CHILDREN killed in auto accidents in ONE year, which probably out number the number of SOLDIERS killed in Iraq and Afganistan over 10 years, are LESS IMPORTANT?

OR are those children just the COLLATERAL DAMAGE you find acceptable so you have the CONVENIENCE of DRIVING?

How can I put this so anyone can understand...... Bombs are dropped, intending to kill. Cars are driven to get you from A to B.

Anyone able to spot that simple difference yet, other than Lucy and I.

Weaver had said he could provide as many as the undercover cop wanted.


We all know why criminals grind serial numbers off of firearms.....


Just exactly how many were we supposed to allow Weaver to sell before law enforcement moved in?


And as republicans, I`m not at all surprised at how little you know about Koresh and his cult.

while I agree ANY DEATH, for ANY REASON is a sad tragic thing, in the grand scheme of things 4400 spread over 10 years is hardly worth even mentioning

my point was 4400 deaths spread over 10 years is 440 deaths per year, and in the grand scheme of "death" in general, its NOT the HUGE DEAL some people want to make of it...

Accident is the main cause of active-duty serviceperson deaths except during the Iraq/Afghan years. The fact that there have long been too many deaths by accident in the U.S. military is the point of this article and of the two articles to which there are links above.

I read the entire report and found the table below which breaks the deaths down by cause. One interesting thing that I found was that only about 2,500 have died as a result of hostile action in Iraq and Afghanistan, not the 4,000-dead Iraq-only figure the Left loves to talk about.

Ummm, much as you're not going to like to hear this, but they're legal just about anywhere. Unless things have changed drastically in the last few years, you can even find them in NJ. They're for sale in pretty much any Army/Navy store you wander into. (I just checked, you can find inert grenade casings on e-bay.) A "grenade shell" without explosives or a fuse is a lump of metal. It's no more illegal to buy/sell/own them then it would be to buy plumbing supplies, and it would take about the same amount of know-how to convert this to a functional grenade as it would to make the plumbing parts into a pipe-bomb. Actually the pipe-bomb is easier, less work to un-do.

but you do make ONE valid point, soldiers get killed by bombs etc etc etc.. which they VOLUNTEERED to face, whereas none of the children killed in auto accidents volunteered for ANYTHING...

during the same period 1038 firefighters and 1938 police officers were killed...

so almost 3000 police and fire fighters were killed in the same period, making being a soldier in Iraq/Afganistan only a bit more dangerous
