I don't think whether I dress left or right matters and I have never said what my political status is nor will I ever disclose it. I don't think a person should be valued or disregarded because they are Conservative, Democratic, Independent or Republican. Take note that they were put in alphabetical order as to not cause presumptions. My morals, beliefs and character were given to me by my parents not any political party.

Here it is in a nutshell, my opinion. When this all came to light I honestly didn't equate race into it, to me it was what I thought would be a stand your ground attempt, an excuse that is over used. Yes, Trayvon had a past but so did Zimmerman, you can't bring one up without the other. The difference being juvenile versus adult, but when it comes down to it, that kid did not deserve to die and we will only ever know one version of the incident no matter how much we speculate simply because Zimmerman chose to take a life. We also have the actions of Zimmerman after the trial, not a pillar of the community by any account, his parents must be proud while we have the Martins who will never know how Trayvon could have been, good or bad.

Yes, I'm afraid the kid did deserve to die. He made the darwinian mistake of picking a fight with a man with a gun. After that, the only real question is what fate did Zimmerman deserve. A jury of his peers reached the right verdict. There wasn't enough evidence to convict.

The forensic evidence if I recall showed no bruising to Trayvons hands. There were no eye witnesses, hearing and seeing are two totally different views. As far as one witness, he found George's actions to be quite odd after the shooting, so no, we only have George's version. If Trayvon was caught with stolen goods, where was the arrest record? At his age he would have been charged as an adult. We do have George who went into an alcohol rehab program as a plea to a lessor charge against a police officer. So equally both had an ability for violence, so lets be fair. Zimmerman put the wheels into motion that evening, he alone is responsible.

If George thought Trayvon was in issue walking in the neighborhood, he should have let the law handle it but he just had to get out and follow. Partial eyewitness is not a full eyewitness, and as much as I enjoyed you trying to spin George's brushes with the police, the man's a bully.

Please don't bring up the school and their power to arrest, most schools have police on site. Perhaps you should brush up on how schools are allowing the police to step in for minor infractions, ones that wouldn't even call for an arrest.
