Actually I think your facts and analysists are exactly, well, anal but I did enjoy the the article regarding the juvenile issues of Trayvon for in that article it brought up the police issues that Zimmerman had as an adult. In my book that makes Zimmerman a thug also, so I guess it's a wash.

Dude! Seriously?

My reaction exactly.

Even for this thread, that was quite a post.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 8:28:12 PM)

I read the link you posted. It contained history on both, so if you want to blame someone look in the mirror.
I may be a poor judge in character after all my ex husband is a cop, but you can bet your sweet ass, I know a bully when I see one. So i guess experience is on my side for that judgement. I never said there were only sound witnessess so stop that crap right there.

There were no eyewitnesses to the shooting, only witnesses who heard cries for help and the shot. If there were eyewitnesses to that event, no one would be discussing this case now.

I'll second that.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 8:34:02 PM)

I accidentally posted twice, the secon post was what I wanted to be edited in correctly, my apologies.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 8:35:50 PM)

There were no eyewitnesses to the scuffle or the shooting. There I clarified.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 8:37:49 PM)

I was wrong in not clarifying, not sort of, I was wrong.

par for the course...and some people wonder why i have no compulsion to apologise to him for anything ever:)

I almost fell off my chair but we agree on the abuse of children by gangs.
We may never agree on the Trayvon/Zimmerman events and outcome as we have different beliefs on who should have done what.
I do not allow other people's political beliefs to cloud my own, in my heart of hearts I don't believe that kid should have died.

Yeah . . . I can grant a pretty wide latitude for assholeiness (mostly because I need such latitude for myself) but there are limits. I don't use the hide button lightly (that holocaust denier dork - he's someone I'm glad not to have seen in a while - was the first) so I always like to seek clarification. If someone actually thinks a teenager (or perhaps it is only black teenagers) deserve to die because they may have picked a fight (there's absolutely no evidence to support that) with a man with a gun is . . . wow . . . just wow.

I don't think the kid deserved to die either.
That said he did initiate the violence and that act caused his death.
This does not means that I think Zimmerman handled things perfectly.
I have been in similar situations, handled it more directly but controlled
the situation so that no violence resulted.
Zimmerman's tactics can be criticized but bad tactics is not a crime.

The damage done to Zimmerman had to have been done before Zimmerman shot him.
Even the prosecution admitted that.
They had no case and it showed in the trial.
Both made mistake but the critical one was when Martin decided to beat Zimmerman.
He even told his GF after he lost Zimmerman that he "wasn't going to run anymore"
But to some none of that counts.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 9:21:20 PM)

I never said Trayvon was a perfect kid, he had issues, so did George. I believe in fairness and in my mind if you bring up ones past you bring up the other ones too. Neither of them knew one another so I only look at the events of that evening and in my opinion as I stated before if Zimmerman was so worried then he should have stayed in his vehicle and allowed the police to do their job.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 9:27:50 PM)

Actually, no, it does not take a hard blow to make your head bleed and a head wound will bleed a lot with only a little cut. Yeah, my bad choice again but I do have the experience to refute your claim.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 9:43:32 PM)

Just as the article gave evidence to Zimmerman fitting in that category. Attacking and reigning blows? Who saw this? Who knows what Zimmerman said to him or is their eyewitness testimony to their conversation? Perhaps as you suggest maybe Trayvon called Zimmerman a cracker, well maybe Zimmerman called Trayvon some choice words of his own. We will never know because we only have George's version of the entire event, dead men can't tell theirs.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 9:47:48 PM)

I never said Zimmerman didn't have a right to be in his neighborhood, what I said was if he was concerned after he called 911 he should have waited for the police to handle it. He's not law enforcement, no matter what his duties of neighborhood watch entailed.

Neighborhood watch means just that watch. You don't engage.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: UNMODERATED ZIMMERMAN (4/1/2014 9:49:11 PM)

I will debate with you anytime, you just need to lighten up a bit.
Have a good night
